1. The carpet and the dressing chair in the room was dirty and smelly . 2.There were cocroaches in the bathroom(disgusting) 3. Not sure if it's the new standard of the Mecure hotels or it's the one i went to but the breakfast had a very minimum variety and the food was disappointing not good at all.. i only enjoyed the orange juice.

It was good. Bed was comfortable, bathroom very clean. Place was clean although I came across two cockroaches. Nonetheless I enjoyed my stay.

I have stayed at the hotel many times in the past. Due to Covid, the last stay was two years ago. At that time I wrote to the hotel regarding several items that were not good. After two years not a single thing has changed. The cleanliness and servicing of the rooms was fine - no issues there. But maintenance in the rooms is non existent: Security latch falling off. Shaving mirror missing. Toilet seat loose. Shower fitting loose and falling off the times. Remote for AC fallen off the wall and dangling by the wire. AC opening was broken and I needed to wedge it open. Net curtains appears very dirty. The room in the dining area is still filthy and black. Simple things, that could easily be sorted out with a weekly room inspection my the manager. And all reported two years ago - with nothing done.

Overall satisfied. Linen needs to be replaced, bottom of the duvet cover on both beds were torn and our feet kept getting stuck. The shower door needs better sealing to prevent the floor flooding. Also not the best TV channels available.

This was my third stay at your hotel. Sadly, not as good an experience as previously. First room the A/C was faulty. Terrible night. Other small maintenance items are not being attended to: Broken door latch, Bedside lampshade lose and skew. Shaving mirror broken off. Net curtain somehow was attached to the normal curtain (I assume a quick fix by someone). Luckily I was assigned a new room the next day. A/C was working. But again small things are being neglected. No knob on the desk drawer. Shelf in fridge broken. One foot missing off fridge. Reading light lose. Its also a pity that I was unable to book a room any more that EXCLUDES breakfast. While the breakfast was adequate, R165 was shockingly high. The roof in the dining room needs a serious clean or new coat of paint - its not looking good. So, generally an okay stay, but management seriously needs to spend more time actually doing regular inspections. At R780 a night, I believe I could find better.
