The service was good, the only issue that truly made my stay traumatic was that my room was assigned to another individual Friday late at night and I was woken up by a stranger trying to enter the room but luckily the latch was on the door and when I spoke to the gent through the door, he advised he was assigned this room. This experience caused me trauma as I could have had a strange man standing in my room while I was asleep because of neglect of a hotel staff member. I advised the duty manager and was given an apology and complementary cheese board but still felt it was not enough. The climate of the country with GBV is high and to experience a man opening your hotel door in the late hours at night leaves a very bad experience.

We are deeply sorry that your room was incorrectly assigned to another individual, resulting in a stranger attempting to access your room late at night. This is a serious lapse in our procedures and falls far below the standard of safety, care, and professionalism that we are committed to providing our guests. We fully acknowledge and understand how traumatic and frightening this experience must have been, especially considering the current climate of gender-based violence in our country. Your safety, privacy, and peace of mind should never have been compromised, and we regret that this incident caused you fear and emotional distress. While the duty manager did apologies and offered a complimentary cheese board at the time, we recognize that this gesture did not adequately address the severity of what occurred. Please accept our sincere apology for this shortcoming as well. We are taking this matter extremely seriously and have initiated an internal review of our room allocation and night audit procedures to ensure that such an incident does not happen again. Additional staff training and stricter controls are being implemented with immediate effect, as guest safety is non-negotiable. Once again, we are truly sorry for the trauma and inconvenience caused. Your feedback is invaluable, and we thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. It was mostly good. We booked via the internet. It sent an email saying we are paid in full, but when we got to the reception they asked us to check our banking app to prove we haven't paid. Apparently the website doesn't take money out of the account. Just frustrating on a budget level due to poor communication. I had also booked a month in advance, which is relevant because I asked for special dietary requirements. At reception they told me they just saw the note and there would be no time to prep special meals. That is very unprofessional. I complained, and then they actually figured something out. The food was healthy and delicious. The room was comfortable except for all the red lights from appliances. However, all staff were polite and professional. We did enjoy our stay. The room was small but clean, and the bed was very comfortable.

The staff is great and friendly. However, in my room the two pin plug was not working, the phone did not work. One day I did not receive any new towels. When the cafeteria was packed due to a congress happening. The staff member suggested someone sit opposite me without even asking if it was okay with me, and it made me feel very uncomfortable.
