The Mecure Rockhampton is well located for dining, theatre and the CBD. A lovely setting on the the riverbank. The staff were excellent and facilities good. Only criticism would be that the bathrooms are original and definitely need refurbishment.

Old style 60’s era hotel, comfortable but a bit spartan as accessories go.

Mercure Rockhampton thinks it’s the Sofitel in Paris, but it’s not. It is very basic, basic rooms and service. Yet charge like it is an opulent hotel.

I can’t understand how you charge $350 for a room with river view. Have you actually been up here? I travel quite a bit for work including going overseas and I think this is probably the most disgusting Mercure I ever stayed.

Beautiful views over the river. Close to cafes and shops. Clean room, coffee machine in room was a big bonus and a lovely little fruit platter on arrival.
