I've been staying here since 3 months and I love it here the rooms are really nice ...... Food is lovely......i had breakfast once it had many options loved it.... but one lady her name is Love she has been nothing but courteous during my stay at Bedford. She is an absolute pleasure

Scarse customer attention with bad consequences on the customer

The staff registered our vechicle in a wrong way and we received then 2 fines 60£ each + 60£ of administration fee due to unregistered vehicle in the parking area. After 8email, we have obtained NO REFUND because not in the regular internal procedure. Unbelievable from an international chain. I do not suggest this hotel mainly because of this and in particular for the attention to the customer.

After spending a year at this hotel…. I have had many issues with my room card. However, Remalia is quick to sort these issues out promptly. She is very social and an an asset to the hotel. During the past year of stays, I have also had the joy of meeting Milena who is always working with a smile.

Food overpriced for what it is! Reply from the hotel lacking any effort to rectify!

First stay at the Hotel and was allocated a room near the elevator and the room was very dated, and did not look like the images on their website. When I requested if I could have a room not near the elevator and advised the receptionist the room did not look like anything like the images on their website, so I am assuming some have been refurbished, and if I could have a more spacious room. She advised me spacious rooms are allocated to double occupancy first and not single travellers! I was surprised with that response as the price was the same for single & double occupancy! I was allocated another room, which DID look like the images. Corridors to the rooms were dirt, dated and very depressing! Lift button broken to Ground Floor missing! Dined at the restaurant and the food is overpriced for the quality & quantity you get! A couple of handful of nachos and a tiny pot of guacamole for £5!!!! You would get more for your money in London! Passion fruit Martini was very delicious and would definitely recommend and the waitress Kaur was very attentive. When I asked her to charge the meal to my room, she advised I need pre-authorisation and would check with the receptionist if I could, in which the receptionist refuse my request to charge the meal to my room! Had a restless night sleep as there was a bubbling water sound, every hour from the air conditioning, even though it was turned off! Rainforest shower head was lovely and really relaxing! Gave the feedback to the receptionist on check out, who said she would feedback to management, and didn't seem bothered or offer an apology! Ok hotel for a one night stay! **EDITED to respond to the Hotel's response below: Cleary insight is not valued, as no effort to rectify, just a standard reply of "apology", so therefore will not be returning to the Hotel in the future! Thank you for taking the time to share your experience at Mercure Bedford Centre Hotel. I sincerely apologise for the inconveniences you encountered during your stay. It is disappointing to learn that the initial room allocation did not meet your expectations and that the condition of the corridors and lift buttons fell short of our usual standards. Regarding your concern about room allocation policies, I understand your frustration, and I appreciate your feedback on this matter. We strive to provide our guests with the best possible accommodations, and I am glad to hear that the second room met your expectations. I regret that you found our dining options to be overpriced and that the charging policy for meals was not clearly communicated. Your comments about the air conditioning and the reception staff’s response at checkout have been noted, and I assure you they will be addressed with the team. Excellent bar service from Jurgen & Kushi who make sure you are looked after in every way and as a regular customer this brings me back to the hotel. Good is good quality and an excellent range of drinks. The views are stunning right in the middle of town
