Beautiful stay, the most friendly welcoming staff we have come across in a long time. John and Katrina in the restaurant are just lovely and so helpful. Would definitely recommend people coming her. Rooms are decorated beautifully and the leisure club is clean and warm. Great location for walking into town.

We have stayed here a few times, whilst the rooms are small, the hotel has everything you need and is perfectly located for work or play in Nottingham. The staff were friendly and helpful on arrival and during our stay, particularly the bartender Mykhailo, who delivered a range of cocktails with a professional flourish and a smile.

ok for one night stay

I arrived to the hotel at approx. 18:00pm, checked in, I was allocated a room on the 2nd floor, when I got out of the elevator the corridor stunk of tobacco and weed. The room was extra small, which for a solo traveller is ok, I suppose. I was planning on having a shower and washing my hair, but to my surprise there was no hair dryer in the room. I headed down to the restaurant area and this is when things got "interesting". I went to order food: roasted chicken. The waitress advises the chicken will take at least 45-50 minutes to be ready. So I ended up ordering the battered cod and chips because she said it would be ready faster. When the dish came out it looked appetising and well presented, but to my surprise when I cut a piece of the fish and went to eat it, it had a very strong ammonia smell. I thought it might be me, so I cut another piece and it was exactly the same, discreetly raised this with the waitress that served me and she said it is normal for it to smell like that. I did advise to her that ammonia smell on cod is a sign of it being spoilt and eventually she agreed to change the dish, I ended up ordering a salad with chargrilled chicken, this took 35 mins to come out. I finally ordered dessert, which once again took approx. 35 mins to come out. So overall I think I spent almost 2h there for a main and a dessert. I had been to this hotel previously and had a similar issue with another dish, the padron peppers were mouldy. So I would definitely avoid eating here. Back to the room, the bed was comfy and couldn't here much noise during the night, so that's a positive.
