Stay clear - awful!!

Booked here for our anniversary as we were going to the theatre. Walked into our room, and it absolutely stunk of damp! The bedding also smelt of damp. Went to reception who moved us to a worse room that also smelt and was right next to the lift, so not only did it smell, it was noisy. Should have complained again, but felt it a waste of time as all rooms must be the same and the receptionists weren't the friendliest either. Booked for breakfast - just awful. Burnt sausage, no eggs, overcooked beans, no juice. It was empty as well, so no excuse! I ended up having a porridge pot - £15 for porridge! Outdated, smells, miserable staff, and food awful. STAY AWAY!!

Very central hotel with free car parking Staff very pleasant and my bedroom was very nice excellent wi-fi connection had nice meal in the bar lounge which was rather lovely good selection of beer on tap Leisure club was too warm for me however nice staff and good facilities I hope to return in January

Excellent service with the reception, restaurant and bar, good value, one area of improvement would be the sealing of the shower screen to stop the water running onto the floor and the correct plug in the sink to avoid water splashing out.

Comfy room, the 9th time I have stayed there over the years. They changed my booking from a privilege to a standard without my consent but when I complained a received a refund. It's cashless which is a bummer. I won't be staying there anymore because of this.

We celebrated our 50th golden wedding anniversary at the hotel And stay for 2 night The room were spacious clean large comfy beds The food was excellent Hot and plenty of it The staff were excellent very helpful nothing too much trouble General manager Stewart was very customer focused Approachable friendly hard working We were supported from first booking last feb . Rebecca who helped us to plan our party has been brillant .we would recommend this venue to any one looking to book a local celebration We had a meal in restaurant the night before which was excellent also food was hot and the staff polite and friendly .
