Great Location

Couldn’t fault my stay. Hotel is in the best location for the arena/exhibition centre and there’s plenty of places to eat and shop nearby. The room was a great size and had what I needed for a 2 night stay. Cleanliness was good. My only issue was there being no plugs by the bed. Breakfast was nice with the usual variety of continental and hot food. Staff were helpful and nice.

It is a basic hotel, don’t expect alot.

The pricing is really reasonable taking into consideration the location near liverpool one and Renshaw (Chinatown) if you dont drive, its always a 15-20 walk. The bonus is the on-site carpark at gbp10 PER DAY. Cheaper than whatever you have around the area ie victoria street carpark etc. The room is VERY basic, with the amount that you pay, its fine. But if you want something really near Liverpool one, and something much better, then go for Hilton that is a street across.

Bugs crawling everywhere

Horrendous.. bugs crawling all over the bed. After a long day working, I fell into bed and had the worst night ever, it soon became apparent that the bed was crawling with bugs. I wrote to the hotel and they didn’t bother to even respond. The hotel staff seemed horrified when I showed them the video. They moved me and called in the pest control company. Absolutely no acknowledgment, apology just ignored… horrendous

First and last time at this hotel

We stayed for 2 nights and were disappointed with the hotel. The staff I have to say on the first day and evening were really friendly. I had sent a message to the hotel when booking requesting a ground floor room which we didn’t get. This was done quite far in advance too. We had our dog with us the first night. I would say they let dogs stay rather than being dog friendly.! The room we had was tiny, no room for two people to freely walk about we had to operate a single track with passing places to both be moving about. There was no room for a dog bed to be put down. The heating in the room wasn’t working and so we were given a radiator, this is a problem that they were already aware of when I reported it. The bathroom door had to be pulled really hard to close it and there was no lock. The breakfast was less than average. The bacon seemed to have been boiled or something, it was covered in white gunk too. The jam dispenser didn’t work and when I reported it they took it away to be sorted and didn’t bring it back and didn’t offer any alternative. The morning we had the dog with us we were told where to sit that was ok for dogs but other people were there who weren’t keen on dogs so it was a very rushed breakfast for us. Now all of this might seem like I’m fussy and not picky but I’m not in the slightest. The price of the room wasn’t much different to other hotels with much, much better facilities, unfortunately our usual one doesn’t allow dogs. Thankfully we won’t need to bring him on other occasions and so won’t need to put up with a poor experience again. We are regular travellers to Liverpool and have stayed in many different hotels and this is the worst by room size, quality and breakfast yet. The only reason it’s getting 2 stars and not one is we got to park at the hotel, at a price on top of the already pricey room may I add and the staff were lovely on the first day, Johnny in particular. If you want a no frills, basic, cramped room then it will probably be ok for you but if you are a couple or a family it’s worth checking other places

Not worth the doubling of price since last year

This hotel has more than doubled in price since this time last year. It was always cheap and cheerful but the astronomical price increase was definitely not invested back into the hotel. The floor of the room is Lino, the bathroom was dirty with debris and pubic hair under the toilet seat and in the shower. Not at all impressed. The hotel was noisy and the corridors were airless and unpleasantly and heavily perfumed. The staff on duty were helpful and courteous but that was the highlight of the stay.
