Good hotel with a few issues to solve.

This is a good comfortable hotel very well located in Las Condes. We requested three beds (one adult and two adolescents) but the hotel could only provide this by adding 60 USD per night for three nights which was why I only give 4 stars and not 5 stars. We also only had two towels for three people on the first night - unsatisfactory. However, in spite of this we had a comfortable stay at this Novotel and staff were pleasant and helpful.

A good starting point for Santiago

It was fine. A short walk to a big park with a rose garden and lots of activities, great for people watching. The hotel seemed clean and quiet. The breakfast buffet was more than satisfactory. The outdoor pool was small and cold, but it was springtime, not summer. Las Condes neighborhood felt upscale and safe, a bit business like, but we enjoyed walking toward Providencia where we found more restaurants, and neighborhoods to explore along the way.

Why is this hotel ranked so highly? Something artificial with tripadvisor is happening here. Rooms are average and worn down. Organization of the hotel sucks. It's clean. But that's about all I can say that is positive. Pool is cold, service is bad.

Welcoming hostess and nice rooms

The very first person that struck me with her attention at the hotel was Montserrat (the hostess). She was really warm and welcoming and paid attention to every detail when we had breakfast in the morning. She made sure that we had everything we needed. The rooms were also very comfortable and we enjoyed the views from Santiago.

Very bad overall experience

My overall experience was very bad. This is actually the worst Novotel hotel I have ever stayed. The room service was terrible, I had problems with the line to call them for my order. Then, they got wrong the water I wanted and the food quality was very poor. Then, breakfast. A nightmare! They did not have enough staff, the tables were left with the stuff from other guests without someone taking proper care and clean the tables so other guests can use them. No cups for coffee and paper cups for orange juice? I am sorry but this is not a Safari in the jungle. Then, at check out, they did not have envelopes for my bill. The room had some strange noises and the bathroom was very old.
