This hotel was located in the lovely and safe area of Providencia, with great restaurants and cafes within a block away. Easy safe walk to shopping, tower, and hop on hop off bus. Front desk staff were very helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend!

Best located Novotel

We were very happy with our stay at this hotel. We stayed here as well as Novotel Las Condes and this Novotel is better located and the staff are nicer. Christina, in particular, was extremely helpful and lovely. The breakfast also was pretty good.

We stayed at the Novotel Providencia for 2 nights at the start of our Chile trip & were very happy that we chose the hotel. We kept going back & forth trying to decide whether to stay in Lastarria or Providencia & in the end settled on Providencia. Lastarria is older & very nice during the day, but had read it can be a little sketchy at night, which may or may not be true, but Providencia seemed like a good option as it's safe day & night and is close to the mall, there are restaurants nearby etc. The hotel is not super luxurious & is more of a business hotel (what you expect from a Novotel really), but it was very clean & the staff very friendly, some of which spoke English very well (which helps as my Spanish is pretty bad!). There are a few cafe's, restaurants within walking distance (the Italian pizza place & an Indian literally across the road are good options). We also ate breakfast at the little French cafe next door one morning which was lovely & they do amazing cheesecake & empanadas. The hotel also offers breakfast but we prefer to eat out so went to the French cafe instead. The Costanera Centre is just a 5-10 min walk away with a huge mall & of course the tower itself if you wanted to visit. We didn't go up there ourselves since we took the vernacular up to Cerro San Cristobal instead for the same views. There is a nice rooftop bar on the roof of the a nearby hotel attached to the mall (A Hotel I believe), which has great views & is a lovely spot of a sunset drink. In terms of getting around we just used Uber & walked everywhere. It's a very walkable city & we joined a walking tour to see the old town & then walked to Cerro Santa Lucia, Bella Vista & then from there, took the vernacular up San Cristobal before catching the cable car back down the other side. This finishes about 1 or 2 KM from the hotel so it was an easy walk back again afterwards through a nice barrio (neighbourhood). All in all we really enjoyed Santiago as a city (although of course getting away from the miserable English winter to warm days & blue skies helped!) and the Novotel was a great place to stay!

Excellent hotel, friendly staff & safe. Breakfast was good. Front desk staff spoke English. Cristina was very helpful and professional, patient and gave tips to where to travel. Hotel amenities were clean and room was good size. Location was excellent.

Location in a very nice, decent, and convenient area. Supermarket right beside the hotel, a divine Indian restaurant a short block away. They gave me a suite and it was very functional. Staff very warm and nice and attentive esp front desk Cristina and solicitous housekeeping staff Mercy.
