Our stay at Nungwi Dreams by Mantis was truly wonderful. The hotel is beautiful, very clean, well maintained, and located in an incredible setting. The rooms were comfortable, the breakfast offered a great variety of fresh and delicious options, and every member of the staff was exceptionally kind, welcoming, and always willing to help. Their genuine hospitality made us feel at home throughout our stay. One of the things I appreciated most was the opportunity to experience the local culture and atmosphere, which made our visit to Zanzibar even more special. I would also like to mention something that is important to me. There are a few resident cats living around the hotel. As an animal lover and someone who has cats at home, I personally enjoyed seeing them and they were never a disturbance. They are gentle and simply look for food. However, I noticed that some guests were uncomfortable with them and even chased them away when they approached looking for something to eat. Since these cats already live on the hotel grounds, I believe it would be wonderful if the hotel could take an even more active role in their care by ensuring they are fed regularly and have a safe space where they are protected from mistreatment by guests. This is not a criticism of the hotel—quite the opposite. It is a suggestion that I believe reflects the kindness and hospitality already shown by the entire team. Caring for these animals would further demonstrate the compassion and responsibility that make Nungwi Dreams by Mantis such a special place. Thank you to everyone for making our stay so memorable. We would happily return and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Zanzibar.
