The hotel offers beachfront, rooftop (Sky Bar), and private villa venues, ideal for intimate weddings of 2-99 guests. Facilities include tailored setups, catering services, and flexible spaces for ceremonies and receptions.
Food quality, variety and consistency of individual items was very poor

Furniture in the dining room and pool lounges ie cushions very old and very dated.

Staircases wooden ones in main building unsafe with unsafe handrails.
Air conditioning and cooling in main restaurant very poor
Importantly as an ACCOR platinum member we relied on the website rating of 4 1/2 stars and we were disappointed as this property is more like a 3 1/2 star property

Overall okay experience, reception staff friendly and helpful. The kitchen and bar staff are not up to standard and their attention to guests not what you expect at a 5 star rated place. Breakfast pretty basic for a 5 star. The nuts had worms in them. No decaf coffee or cappuccino available. Generally the food at dinner was very basic compared to the cost per meal.

We are, however, very concerned to hear that several aspects of your stay did not meet the standards you expected from a five-star property. In particular, we sincerely apologise for the condition of the nuts served at breakfast. This is certainly not acceptable, and we have shared this feedback with our culinary and food safety teams for immediate attention.
We also regret that the breakfast selection and quality, dinner offerings, beverage availability and service from our bar and pool teams fell short of your expectations. Your comments regarding the limited juice selection, freshness of the breads, and the unavailability of decaffeinated coffee and cappuccino have been noted and will be addressed with the relevant departments.
We are equally sorry to hear about the issues you experienced in your room, including the kettle, curtains, finishes and overall room quality. These details are important, and your feedback will assist us in identifying areas requiring attention and improvement.
We appreciate your positive comments regarding our check-in team and are grateful that you took the time to recognise their efforts. We also value your feedback as an ALL member and regret that you did not feel sufficiently recognised during your stay.

Our room was an ocean view room and it was so beautiful…sitting on our patio of an evening with those ocean views was stunning.
The maid came in every day and changed the bedding and we’d come in to beautiful petals placed over the bed.
We got given bottles of water every day and fresh towels…

My husband and I stayed at Nungwi Dreams for the Zanzibar portion of our honeymoon, and while the resort itself is absolutely beautiful, the people are what made our stay truly unforgettable.
From the moment we arrived, we were treated with such genuine kindness and hospitality. Everyone was incredibly friendly, helpful, and attentive without ever making it feel forced. After only a short time, it honestly felt less like we were staying at a resort and more like we were surrounded by friends who genuinely wanted us to have the best honeymoon possible.
What made our experience even more special was how willing the staff was to help my husband and me surprise each other. They helped us coordinate little special moments without the other knowing, and they seemed genuinely excited to be a part of making those memories with us. Those personal touches meant more than they probably realize and are some of the things we will remember most about our time in Zanzibar.
We especially have to recognize Kelvin, who went above and beyond for us throughout our stay. He was absolutely wonderful. His kindness, attentiveness, and willingness to help with anything we needed made us feel so well taken care of. He wasn’t simply providing great customer service—he made us feel genuinely welcomed and cared about.
After hiking Kilimanjaro and spending several incredible days on safari, Nungwi Dreams was exactly where we needed to be. We were able to slow down, relax, enjoy the beautiful ocean, and simply enjoy being newlyweds.
The property is gorgeous, the views are incredible, and Zanzibar itself is beautiful—but you can find beautiful hotels in a lot of places. What you cannot easily find is a group of people who make you feel this welcome.
We came to Nungwi Dreams as guests and left feeling like we were saying goodbye to friends.
Thank you to Kelvin and the entire Nungwi Dreams team for being part of such an important trip in our lives and for making our honeymoon even more special than we imagined. ❤️

The hotel and staff are wonderful. The location is also nice albeit far from the airport. Being right on the ocean is perfect and the size of a standard room is also excellent. The only downside was the construction occurring all hours of the night but otherwise fantastic.

Despite being advertised as a 5 star hotel, this property does not have the amenities to warrant that label. The rooms are very basic - quite ugly tile floor, basic bathroom with terrible staining in the shower, very basic seating, bed sheets were stained. The hot water and water pressure was intermittent. It did not feel luxurious. No bathrobes. The internet was extremely spotty - it constantly kicked us off and was difficult to reconnect. We couldn't connect the TV to wifi, so despite being a smart TV we could not access the apps and only had access to a few very fuzzy TV channels. The AC did not work when we arrived - someone did come to change the remote but said we could not adjust the temperature or it would not work. The gym is abysmal - very dingy, old equipment, musty smell, and very small. Breakfast was fine but quite basic, we would expect more from a 5 star resort. The 2 pools were nice and relaxing, and a spa service we got was nice. The ocean view and balcony is nice. There is beach access, but no beach chairs and there were constantly people on the beach trying to sell things. When we asked the hotel to arrange taxi service for us, they told us the wrong price and we were blindsided after already getting in the taxi. Was ~20-25 minute walk from restaurants, and if looking to visit Stone Town the drive is 1.5 hours. Overall an ok stay if you are just looking for nice views and nice pools, but would not recommend if you are looking for a luxurious 5 star resort stay - you will be disappointed.

The hotel is nice, but not over the top fantastic. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The food was good but nothing to rave about. I did like the price of their set menu-very reasonable. The pool was nice and kept clean and overlooks the ocean. Beautiful!

Absolutely amazing staff, service and attentiveness were the only saving grace for your 3* star hotel that why I scored you a 5. All other categories you’d get 1 out of 10
Stayed in so many Accor hotels and yours was the most basic and overhyped of all. Never again!
Food by chef Hussein…OMG it was poor. Full board just not worth it at all
For transparency you should notify guests of the continual construction noise around your hotel
