Dear Mr Ian Charlton There is much room for improvement. 1 Customer Service Please don’t apologise, however please sort out your customer service issues. Waiting at reception for twenty five minutes to be served by the one and only staff member is unacceptable. It was not a one off as was noted during our stay. 2 Staff communication “We may be able to move you tomorrow if we can”. Still waiting for that call. 3 Room Noted the room had bren recently renovated though it still had a cracked hand basin in the bathroom. There was very little water pressure in the basin. Reported a few issues to reception more for your info than a complaint. Room with view of the surrounding hinterland does not mean room with a view overlooking the road and resort entrance. On a positive note, It was great to see the bar come back to life and hopefully the service hours will improve over summer.

Whilst the property itself looks good and my room was comfortable; I was disappointed with the fact that the restaurant is not open on Sunday and Monday and the bar closes at 5pm. There is also no room service. Service: 2 examples- (1) I wanted a pool towel. At the time I came downstairs there was a group checking in and reception was busy. I saw that the bar attendant (15 metres away) was not busy, and in fact chatting with two other staff members, so I asked if they could get me a towel. The response "I don't know where they are" I could actually see them from there. I thought this demonstrated complete laziness and a total lack of customer service. (2) I returned from work on Monday (8 Dec) and wanted a drink. The bar was closed. I went out of the hotel for a while and came back and noticed that there was a member of staff behind the bar and that alcohol appeared to have been served to a group out near the pool area. The staff member was scrolling on their phone and I approached. He told me that the bar was closed. He was not busy, and I really felt let down once more that given the bar was staffed that I could not get a drink. Whilst disappointed with the fact that the restaurant was not open and no room service--by the way this is not evident that the restaurant has limited opening hours and room service is only available when the restaurant is open, when I booked accommodation and saw the room service symbol on the page (no indication that it is a part time restaurant). I know there are options nearby, but extremely busy and noisy. Sometimes as a business traveller, after work all I want to do is relax in the hotel.

We were disturbed many times on our three night stay. On the second day we were there we got a call saying we hadn’t checked in they had lost our paperwork. Then a couple hours later we got a knock on our door asking if we were there. Room service was not available even though on arrival it was noted that it was an option. Otherwise a great stay beautiful pools and location.

We were treated to the stay by our 2 children as a celebration of our 54th wedding anniversary. They had booked separately but were assured that we would not have to change rooms after the original 3 day booking.
