We thought the position of Peppers was amazing. But the lack of wifi left us a little bewildered. I understand being in nature but, that should be a choice. The rooms were dated and some of the staff seemed tired and uninterested in the employment. Other staff were exceptionally friendly.

We stayed for three nights in cabin 60 for our 28th wedding anniversary in August 2026 The grounds, walking trails and lodge were beautiful with the wildlife greeting us as we arrived, which was a magical experience. Heading up the main path to our cabin there were numerous large potholes that needed to be attended to. Once we entered our cabin, it was beautiful and warm with the fireplace but we did notice that the floor was extremely squeaky for the majority of the room. Also the balcony door was stuck making it hard to go in and out onto the balcony and one other thing was the shower when in use flooded the bathroom floor. Overall, our stay was acceptable with a few maintenance issues that need to be attended to.

Customer service was pretty good. Main lodge, tavern and shop were all in great order. Food and drinks were great too. Unfortunately, our cabin was horrible, especially for the extremely high price we paid. It was very old with a poor attempt at making it look better. The cupboards appear to be as old as the entire resort. The floor was not level or of sound standard. You could not take a sungle step without loud creaks and grouns waking up our partners. Could fully hear the neighbours through the walls. There were so many drafts coming into the cabin I used pillows and jumpers to try and block them. I do not have a problem staying in very low quality accommodation. I DO have a problem with not receiving full disclosure of said low quality and I really do not appreciate being charged for a top quality 5 star room and receive what we did. Another point, I feel it would be great to have a view or the area from our balcony/deck and not trees right up the handrails and can't see a thing. Luckily, we got out as much as possible.

Cabin exceeded my expectations. Great having the tavern. Helpful in arranging access to Cradle Mountain walks.

It's a very lovely location, but the rooms are old and tired especially for $500/night. the check-in experience was very impersonal with limted offerings for food post 8pm.

The cabin was just what we needed to relax and unwind. No network connection or tv was actually a pleasant change and we sat in front of the fire and watched the flames instead.

Truly magical, felt like we had escaped, truly relaxing and tranquil. The king billy sweet leaves you wanting nothing more but to hide oit in your suite and relax, the hot tub hidden in natural, secluded from the rest of the grounds. The fire place and creature comforts made for the best break, staff were very friendly and welcoming. We will be back next year, this is now our yearly holiday destination, with max relax on the cards.

Peppers Cradle Mountain is somewhere you just return to, facilities are warm and comfortable, price is reasonable, staff are friendly and helpful, accommodations are good, the surrounding area is just beautiful with the option of many wonderful walks & Devils @ Cradle is a must do.

Loved the ease of access to the National Park however if you’re going to have 100% capacity you should have more food options- when you pay what we did to stay: paying exorbitant prices to get a 1/2 cold pizza served after 1hour waiting is not good enough.

Underwhelming stay and disappointing value for money Unfortunately, the accommodation was quite underwhelming and, in my experience, did not live up to what was advertised. The cabins were considerably more rustic than expected, including very noticeable squeaky floorboards. Housekeeping was also disappointing. My cabin was not serviced for two consecutive days, and I eventually had to collect my own toilet paper from reception. On the days when someone did come to the door, the interaction was limited to asking whether I needed more tea, coffee or towels. There was no acknowledgement or apology for the lack of servicing, which made the situation feel unnecessarily awkward rather than guest-focused. The location itself is, of course, beautiful, and I thoroughly enjoyed the walks around the Lodge — these were definitely a highlight of the stay and somewhat of a saving grace. The dining experience was mixed. The Bistro meals were fairly ordinary, and the restaurant was very noisy. I did, however, have some lovely meals at the Heritage fine dining restaurant, where the food quality and attentiveness of the service were noticeably better. The buffet breakfast was another disappointment, with the hot food being barely warm, making it difficult to justify lingering over breakfast. One real highlight was the service at the Waldheim Spa. The ladies there were phenomenal — genuinely warm and attentive, taking a real interest in my care and going out of their way to ensure I was comfortable and well looked after. Their approach was a wonderful example of what genuine hospitality should feel like, and it stood out in contrast to some of the other service experiences during my stay. Overall, while Cradle Mountain is a spectacular destination, I felt the accommodation and broader experience did not justify the price. There were certainly some highlights, particularly the beautiful surroundings, the Heritage restaurant and the exceptional care at the Waldheim Spa, but overall it was not the level of experience or value for money I had expected.

Horrible and nothing I would have expected from a Peppers. From Check in to the slimy spa, and incompetent staff.

Our cabin was pretty average. The carpet was wet on arrival to the entry of the bathroom as water sprays out of the shower when you turn it on. Probably wet because of the previous guest. As a result, the door frame is rusted and just looks terrible. The floor squeaks throughout the cabin which is not great in the middle of the night. We paid what I considered top money for a pretty average cabin that did not even have a tv. I understand the owners are trying to sell the property so no capital investment is occurring but the whole site needs money spending on it. The site is just old and needs money spent on it to keep it relevant.

When we arrived the reception experience was average … our room wasn’t quite ready even though it was 2pm and at $950 p/n you’d expect this to be ready The kitchenette is pointless, no actual ability to make any food yet 2 plates and 2 knives and forks were available … not sure what for? We requested a toaster for the morning - what a debacle, we were told twice, we don’t have any and finally the third time one was found for us Fire timber was wet, we tried 3 times, eventually after complaining someone came to light it, that lasted 5 minutes too so we just gave up Bistro food - roast chicken roll - served on cold chips, in a Turkish bread - not what one would imagine and then the chicken - it wasn’t fresh, it was horrible which we sent back twice, we ended up swapping for pizza’s I get it, remote can be difficult but prices need to match and I’d expect a great experience at the price I paid.
