BreakFree Moroccan Surfers Paradise

We have stayed at the Moroccan many times and have always had nice rooms. I had requested same type of room as our last stay on this visit. The view was amazing , but the room was so run down in every way. No air cons worked, only one fan worked, there was wires hanging out of power points, a broken chair on balcony, we found rubbish pushed back in the lounge chairs and the beds had wheels on them so they rolled around when you moved at night. Just really disappointed in the room they gave us, other than the view. Also the indoor pool is not heated any more, wasn’t on our last visit either, 6 months ago, we talked to someone that rents there permanently and they said it’s been cold the whole time they lived there, Not great to be honest. As for the position on the Moroccan it’s great, we love staying there. The reception staff are lovely . I’m really hoping we get a better room next time, We stayed this visit in room 274. 17th floor. Great view not so nice room. I hated writing this review because we truely do love it at the Moroccan.

Loved the view. You couldn't get better than we had. I paid a little extra for ocean front and got the best views I've ever had on the Gold Coast. Absolutely loved it. We got to watch whales swimming past on multiple days. I also loved the size of the apartment. Really spacious. Exactly what we wanted and needed for our holiday. Loved the 'private' pool we got as a bonus by staying in the Esplanade tower. The kids and I loved that we could go for a swim on our own in this pool if we wanted, or join other family and friends (and other guests!) in the larger more central pool. Really great that there were so many pool options. The age of the apartment was showing a bit, but I imagine if it was renovated, perhaps the cost would have been out of my price range. The couch was a little worn and tired. No cushions. The beds were OK, but super-comfortable and rolled about on the tiled floor a bit. The TV was far too small. The showers hadn't been cleaned all that well. They really needed a good dose of exit-mold and a scrub.

Mouldy rooms on ceiling and around door frames. Hair in bathrooms, dirty toilet that smelt of urine. Needed to be renovated, paint, carpet and oven desperately needed. Removal of mould needed. Spare blankets old and stained. Not worth $1700 for 6 nights. Children very unhappy. We were originally given a first floor room with a view of the car park but I asked to change as it was nothing like advertised on website. Moved to 21st floor but room condition was very poor.

We had a lovely time, the apartment was clean and spacious. It is well situated and we had a nice view of the beach. Lovely indoor pool and spa. What I didn’t like was the WI FI, it was non existent, hence I used all my data.

We stayed with a family of 6 adults. It serviced our needs and we were comfortable. Ocean views. Our apartment was very dated and in poor condition. Large chunks gouged from wall corners, threadbare lounge cushions, rusted fixtures. Not usually a standard I live by. Very dated 1990’s decor. I didn’t book it so not sure if the pricing was appropriate. It served us ok over our 3 night stay.
