I raised all the following with the manager, Nikita, on my first full day in the resort, and am disappointed with the outcomes. 1. I booked an ocean view room ready for peaceful evenings on our balcony. Our view was of the canopy for the pub underneath. The slightest slither of ocean could be seen if you looked hard enough, and no evening time was spent on the balcony as it was too noisy with pub activity. We couldn’t be allocated another room as the resort was full, although we were offered a move for our final night, however, I really didn’t feel that was worth the effort. I feel the blame here lies with the classification of the room and would appreciate a refund of the fees paid for the deluxe ocean view, as we didn’t get the view and it didn’t feel deluxe for sure. 2. Our bathroom had dried urine spots in front of the toilet, and a small pool of urine at the base. I wiped this up as I wanted to make use of the facilities, but this is not acceptable. When this was reported, we were told the bathroom would be cleaned properly. The only way we knew anyone had even visited the room to complete this clean was that the light was left on, along with a post it note with the instruction to clean the room. If I had been a manager I would have provided a full service for the apartment that day, and checked it was completed. 3. On arrival, the fridge contained an open milk carton as provided by the hotel. I threw this out. Again, a failing by housekeeping, who I suspect are understaffed. We only received a replacement after I followed up again. 4. The outdoor table had 3 rusted and broken adjustable feet. We ended up wedging it with cardboard to try and make it usable. Nikita expressed much sympathy and said she would discuss all this with her manager on their return to work. I was told to expect a response by Tuesday as she felt we deserved recompense for everything. It is now Friday and I have heard nothing. The hotel and Nikita have my contact details, and I am an All Accor member, so I am certainly contactable. I was also offered a $100 food and beverage credit for the room, which I didn’t really want, as I explained to Nikita, I had packed fully prepared to self cater, however, she insisted the credit would be applied and was there for us to use. That evening I checked with the bar and no credit was recorded. The following morning (our last full day) I checked with reception and they confirmed no credit was applied. They then sent a message to follow and later that day I received a phone message apologising and confirming a credit was now available. I really didn’t feel I should be the one who had to chase this up. As my only correspondence from the Mantra since our stay has been via this survey, this is how I am communicating my impressions to the company. I would at least expect a partial refund for the room standard. Unfortunately a return visit to Mantra at Salt is not to be expected.

Hotel over all is lovely, great grand entrance! Reception staff were great very friendly and welcoming! Bar staff adjacent to the pool were not very attentive.
