The premises were good but looking a bit tired and in need of a refresh. Surge Bar was not open in the hours advertised so unable to even get a coffee or drink without going across to Peppers or to the cafes below We spent more time at Peppers. Check-in and out were good and reception staff were good. Restaurants below were very good.

It was disheartening that no one cared about the experience. before arriving I'd sent 2 emails requesting informaiton on check in. Neither of those were responded to. First day there was no room service, even though I was told this was a daily service. The gentleman at the desk wasn't too happy to hear about it when I asked for some fresh towels at the very least while I popped out for dinner that night. My room number was wrong for breakfast so we had to work out why as I was told it was a B&B rate - eventually resolved. Check out, no one cared to ask how the stay was.My flight was delayed so I stayed onsite a little longer and asked if I could keep my bag at reception...again felt like this was a hard ask....everything seemed a little 'difficult' for all staff. I tried to resolve these things at the time and provide the feedback but felt I got nowhere. Not the usual Mantra experience. Luckily there was some care and effort put in to the conference side of things so at least that part of my experience was okay.

We paid extra for a room with pool views. We were located on the lower level and struggled to see the lagoon pool due to the garden in front of our room that was blocking the view. The bar located at Mantra was closed Monday and Tuesday - which was inconvenient as we were entitled to a drink on arrival and wanted to have this drink and then use the pool. So we were unable to do so. Then when we left, were were charged for the entire 3 days again on my card - which I don’t understand how this happened as I used a card through the eftpos machine. I am still waiting on the funds ($579) to be refunded. I always highly recommend mantra kings like and have been a repeat customer here for 4 years and this visit was disappointing to say the least.

Had 1 year annaversary here. Beautiful view. Would be nice to see a bit more of the ocean as the trees are so tall but still nice and can still hear the ocean. Nice and close to food and fun.
