Disappointing Anniversary Stay

We booked a Deluxe Ocean View Suite at Mantra Ettalong Beach to celebrate our anniversary, and even called ahead to confirm we’d have a beautiful ocean view on a higher floor. Unfortunately, our experience didn’t match what was promised or paid for. Arriving at reception, we were told that the room we were meant to have is no longer available. The room we received was tired and dated, with two single beds pushed together instead of a king. The bathroom was disappointing, with mould in the shower and an old spa bath that was high and awkward to step into. Not a deluxe ocean view suite. The “ocean view” was more of a pool view on a lower level, where we could clearly hear conversations from the pool area, which made it feel far from private or special. Definitely not a room suited for a celebration. There was minimal acknowledgment of our anniversary, just drink vouchers for the club next door that didn’t cover basic drinks. Had we got the room we were promised, I would have rated much better. Overall, a disappointing stay that didn’t match the price or promises. We won’t stay here again.

Given it was a long weekend it was premium cost for two nights…$800 for 2 nights…great location but our room was shabby …stained carpet, tiny tv, mould in the bathroom, our deck furniture couldn’t have been more unwelcoming

The only good thing about this Mantra is the location - it is close to a beautiful beach and good cafes and restaurants. However the rooms are outdated and need renovating. We were told we had a King and a Queen and instead we were given a King and two singles. There were bugs in the kitchen and the air con made a loud clicking noise throughout the night until we turned it off. Additionally the pool isn’t heated which made it unsuitable for children.

hotel tres confortable je crois que je n ai pas trouvé mieux niveau confort.lave linge et seche linge a l interieur des chambres ce qui est tres appreciable.kitchenette bien équipée.literie super et baignoire d angle a spa super.hotel moderne avec grande piscine et jaccuzi.2 hics, l accueil n est pas tres chaleureux meme froid et l hotel se situe dans une baie ou il n y a rien a faire la plage n est pas vraiment une plage .dommage que ce magnifique hotel soit mal placé finalement.
