Found a little tricky to find as my google maps wanted to send me to the opposite street. Reception staff not overly friendly, took a call whilst checking me in without a sorry, did give basic information on breakfast & dinner places, didn’t give info on wifi or how to find the pool/sauna. (Had to ask when going past reception again) signage in the lobby or lift could easily fix this. Room was relatively clean,but on closer inspection bathroom had pink mould hairs & bath needs alot of work, or replacing. cutlery dirty in cupboard cup and plate situation was odd, one champagne glass 3 mugs, it wasn’t even or set out orderly and only 1 small bin in the bathroom in a room with cooking facilities.? You get a sponge and chucks cloth but no detergent to actually clean your dishes also. The fridge has mouldy seals and looks to missing a few shelves the bottom door shelf for one. The pool and spa facilities look very dirty i opted not to hop in as this is a big hygiene concern especially spa’s! Also with no supplies of towels in the area this is poorly set out and should definitely be corrected, ibis styles for example has a full towel set up in their pool/sauna area. Left me wondering is this upto Mantra standard? No topper on the king bed (which splits into two singles) so you can feel the centre grove whilst sleeping. Good aspects, large spacious room, microwave,toaster, dryer in room, does look like perhaps meant to have a washer in there as-well (mine was missing) which would make this room ideal for longer stays. Balcony could use a chair or two so it can be enjoyed. After reading other reviews it looks like these issues are standard issues complained about and a-lot could be easily rectified. Maintenance & cleaning issue should be undertaken. Day 2 and my room card didn’t work, so i was stuck in the lobby not being able to get anywhere in the lift. When i attended reception it was unattended i think the receptionist didn’t cut my key for the necessary days. The next day receptionist fixed this but her attitude towards it was very impersonal she asked how many days did i need it cut for, information she would have in front of her if she looked at my room booking. “So how long are you staying for?” No apologies again for their error. Heartist training where are you now?! No daily room service unless you ask for it meaning no fresh towels, no top up of milk or coffee tea, when requested at 1.50pm the receptionist bought fresh towels to the room and said housekeeping were gone for the day and only are available 8.30am-1.30pm i had no knowledge that the room wouldn’t be serviced daily. it truly seemed as if only 1 staff member was present in the Hotel. Responsible for everything, room service, manning the receptionist desk, taking calls etc. is this a cost cutting measure? Might explain the staff’s lack of enthusiasm towards customer service. Not having a toilet brush in the bathroom and no daily service isn’t very nice either. Day 3 rang for my dirty towels to be taken milk topped up and fresh towels, no answer, found a staff member in the hall and asked if i could have a few things refreshed and dirty things from 2 days taken away. They said they’d come back later and do it. Im glad i organised my own trip to the airport because as expected even though they noted it down the reception was closed and unmaned when i went down to leave for the airport. If i had of left it in their hands im not sure id be making it to my flight on time. Popped my room key on the desk and let myself out. The website does say 24hour reception hmmm.

Air-conditioning not working.

Booked 2 rooms, but air-conditioning in one of the room was not working. Reported it at the reception and they provided lame excuses that maintenance staff doesn't work on weekend. Requested the staff to change the room, but they didn't do anything about it. This was not expected from a hotel chain like Mantra. Total wastage of my money.

I checked in for 4 nights and after 3 days of complaining regarding the AC they gave me a portable AC for the last night. Didn’t change the room nor fixed it properly. Extremely disappointed with the service. Room service wasn’t on time as well.
