Great location accessing Restaurants, Cinema, Beachfront. The Marina is on your doorstep to explore Fraser Island K’gari or enjoy a romantic Sunset Cruise. BreakFree Great Sandy Straits Staff attended to all our needs & as Accor members we shared friendly get together with other guests.

GIVE IT A MISS... We were given Room 168 (3rd floor) at the Hervey Bay Resort. The initial reaction was absolutely disgusting and grotty. Dirty furniture, broken cane chair (dangerous with wood sticking out). The shower/bath was absolutely awful, old, stained glass and certainly not one we would want to use for health reasons. The room itself was very tired with curtains hanging off the rails. They were all sun ridden, worn and torn. We immediately phoned Reception to complain and were then re-located to a lower ground floor, Room 133, which was so very and pleasantly different from our initial room. Room 168 had no dishwasher, one hotplate and literally hardly any cooking equipment - very tired apartment!!! Not sure if we would book here again, as the whole complex and surrounds are in need of some very extensive upgrading and modernising. Also, no gym as advertised!!! Mantra across the way would have been our better option, as we had to pay a further $200 for our upgrade and relocation to Room 133. Not a very pleasant start to our four-day break at BreakFree Great Sandy Straits Hervey Bay!!! My ratings further on are reflective of Room 168, not Room 133. My advice to anyone thinking of booking here - look elsewhere!!!

Perfect quiet beach location and the staff helped make a relaxed and enjoyable stay, only wished we could have stayed longer. Will be back and will recommend. So easy to book directly and benefitted from Accor points. Was a great place to base ourselves with easy access to the Marina, shops and the pier. Room was spacious and although a bit dated it didn't take away from anything.
