We paid well in advance, however when asked to have our card swiped for another $200, we were assured that the money would be reversed and we should get it the day we leave, proved to be not true. We are still waiting for the $200 to reappear in our account. This is a lot of money to hold back. Rang and was told that it would take 7 to 10 working days to go back into our account. This does not happen to us when we stay at other places. We were able to change our dates, which we did appreciate.

Hi Michael Thank you for your feedback. We are pleased to hear that we were able to accommodate your date change request and fulfil your request for a spa bath. I would like to clarify that the room booked was a hotel room. As described on the booking site, hotel rooms do not include a kitchenette or cooking facilities, only tea and coffee-making facilities. We do offer larger apartment-style accommodation that includes kitchen facilities; however, room types do vary across our property and between Mantra hotels. Regarding the $200 pre-authorisation, this is disclosed on the booking site and is required at check-in. We can confirm that the pre-authorisation was released by the property automatically within 24 hours of your departure. Once released, the timeframe for the funds to become available is dependent on your financial institution. If the funds have still not appeared in your account, please contact the property directly and we will be happy to assist further. Thank you again for your feedback and for choosing to stay with us.

Hot water in bathroom took ages to get hot - door to rooms did not lock properly all the time - exhaust fan in bathroom get running after being turned off

Dear Bob Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry to hear about the issues you experienced during your stay. I apologise for the delay with the hot water and the problems with the door lock. I will have our Maintenance team investigate these items. The bathroom exhaust fan may continue running for a short time after being switched off due to a timer setting; however, we will have this checked as well. Thank you for bringing these matters to our attention.

Booked online then tried to upgrade which seemed to be a issued. After speaking to 2 different people we were upgraded but not to what we wanted. We were told the room would be self contained but it was just a standard room. With a spa and we paid extra. The staff at hotel weren't interested. Holes in curtains and cockroaches on the floor. Tv wasn't working properly. Disappointing experience overall.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was great and the room facilities were suitable for our needs. However, the gate to the pool (which is the exit to the cafes and marina) was out of service, meaning a walk the whole way around the building on an unpaved surface, past people’s apartment back doors, causing dogs to bark. This was very inconvenient. We were not informed about this at check in. Only read the sign and figured it out ourselves how to find a gate to the marina/cafes. We also weren’t informed one of the pools was not functioning. The room had a stale smell to it and was quite stuffy when the doors were closed.
