Tsgh TripAdvisor review

We recently stayed at Kingfisher Bay Resort on K’gari (Fraser Island), and while the island itself is absolutely stunning, our experience at the resort was not. Coming into the resort felt a bit like stepping onto a package-deal all inclusive holiday in the Canary Islands — very commercialized and lacking the charm and tranquility we were hoping for on a remote island. The Room: The rooms were decent but definitely needed more attention to cleanliness. There was a thick layer of dust hanging from the bathroom fan, which was pretty off-putting. It’s clear the rooms could use a deep clean. Food: Unfortunately, the food experience was disappointing. The selection was unhealthy, especially for children. There were very few nutritious or balanced options available, and the choices for those with dietary restrictions or allergies were limited and unappetizing. Service: While it’s great that the staff are young, many of them seemed a bit disengaged and unmotivated. We found that breakfast buffets were not replenished promptly when items ran out, and there was a noticeable lack of effort in clearing away plates and glasses around the pool area. It made the place feel a bit unkempt and uninviting. The Best Part: By far, the best part of our stay was the Beauty Spot Tour. Our guide was fantastic, and we had a wonderful day exploring the island. It was a great way to experience the island’s beauty up close, and it made the trip worthwhile. Overall, while the island and the tour were unforgettable, the resort itself left much to be desired. It feels like it could do with a little more care in terms of cleanliness, food quality, and staff training.

One Great Spot For A Wilderness Adventure Holiday

This is one of the best locations in the country for a wonderful rainforest experience on an island; complete with excellent accommodation, top class dining options and a raft of daily activities that are provided by the ranger team. There are also 4WD coach tours that connect you to the amazing wilderness locations with plenty of beach driving as well as visits to clear water creeks and lakes across the island. This is one of the best places for a wilderness experience that we have ever visited - enough to make us want top keep returning with our family.

Sometimes it is the little things

The island is absolutely amazing! However, it’s the little details that make a holiday truly comfortable and stress-free. There’s nothing worse than feeling rushed to sort out the essentials. That’s why the buffet breakfast was a game-changer for our family. Starting the day with a hearty meal ensured everyone was well-fed and ready to explore. It might sound simple, but the breakfast made our trip so much more enjoyable and hassle-free. The king-size bed was another highlight, adding an extra level of comfort to our stay.

We always love our stay at Kingfisher Bay Resort. The rooms are comfortable and the staff are always helpful. The island is a little piece of paradise and it's beauty never fails to amaze us. It's the perfect place to unwind and get back to nature for awhile

Beautiful unique island but not easily accessible to the sights if you dont take your own vehicle

The resort is wonderful and comfortable and i loved it .... will definitely return. What they do need is Day trips (reasonable prices) from the resort to Lake Mackenzie. We just wanted to go out there for the day but they do not have any buses to do this. You have to belong to a huge tour group or prebooked your accommodation and tour. we found this disappointing. I had friends from Tasmania that i would have loved to have shown Lake Mackenzie but we could not get transport to it. Please Kgari resort get more vehicles running to the Lake !!!!
