"If you are considering the Hotel Chadstone for its 'luxury' reputation, save yourself the nightmare and book elsewhere. This establishment is a fraud. On November 11, 2025, I arrived past midnight—exhausted and expecting the room I had guaranteed with my credit card—only to be told they had sold my room to someone else. The management handled this with a level of amateurism that would be embarrassing for a roadside motel, let alone an MGallery property. They 'relegated' me to a subpar, low-quality hotel, then had the absolute gall to make me pay for my own taxi to get there. Because of their logistical incompetence, I didn't get into a bed until the early hours of the morning, causing me to miss my breakfast and ruining the entire following day. The most insulting part? Their 'recovery' attempt. They offered me a 'deluxe upgrade' on a future stay as if that somehow compensates for being stranded at 1:00 AM and treated like an inconvenience. They are still attempting to charge me the original premium rate for a night of stress, displacement, and substandard service. This isn't just a 'mistake'; it is a total failure of integrity. They take your money, fail to provide the service, and then hide behind corporate scripts instead of providing a full refund. Do not trust them with your travel plans. They have zero respect for their guests and even less for the 'luxury' brand they claim to represent. A disgrace to the Accor group."

1. Lack of power points in bedroom. Apart from the single power point on either side of the bed, there are no other power points in the bedroom. If you're travelling for work, you can't plug in your charger when working on the table. 2. Water pressure is extremely low in shower. Hard to use a rain shower when it's dribbling water. Handheld wasn't much better for pressure. Temperature also hard to control for shower. Basin and toilet had no issue with water pressure. 3. Extortionate pricing for mini bar. I can't believe Accor still doesn't provide members with free water in rooms. Even the cheapest Marriott group hotels provide members with minimum 2 bottles of water per day. 4. Breakfast was average at best, paid additional for breakfast with room and only ended up going once. If you have a cook there making omelettes, why can't they make proper scrambled eggs instead of the watery baked eggs you are serving? Also, not much diversity on offer for a breakfast buffet. At least barista coffee is included. 5. The whole process of trying to get a late checkout is a lottery. You can't request a late checkout when checking into the hotel, like every other place. I even emailed front desk before arriving to request a late checkout, but they couldn't confirm. Rather, you need to approach the front counter the night before and hope that you might get a late checkout. In my case, I was only able to get a late checkout to 1PM. 6. Housekeeping is also extremely slow. You can never guess what time they will service your room. I left the room for 4 hours in the morning with the "Make up room" light switched on, came back around lunchtime and the room still wasn't serviced. I ended up skipping housekeeping for that day as I needed to work in the room. They left me a card to say room service hours are between 8am to 3:30pm only. I guess they only service the rooms between 1pm to 3:30pm then, unless they pick my room to be serviced last. Some other minor issues like the mobile check-in not working on the App. Chadstone is also quite remote so it was hard to get an Uber at most times. The pricing for this hotel was also spiked during my travel period, definitely not worth paying over $400 per night.

Great business hotel in the Chadstone complex. I wouldn’t stay there if I were sightseeing in Melbourne as it’s kind of out of the way from the main sights but for my meeting, it was perfect. Great room and bathroom. Breakfast was also great!

Stayed at this supposedly 5 star hotel in Chadstone Melbourne. The first night’s meal was tasteless and should have been left in the ocean - Sword Fish! Not to be expected from a 5 Star Hotel’s Chef! The room wasn’t serviced over our 3 day stay, the service team tended to turn up late afternoon when we were getting ready to go out for dinner! Requests for toilet paper just didn’t happen! Complaints just fell on deaf ears, their apologies and promises didn’t eventuate! There must be better in Melbourne, book there!
