Amazing hospitality and service!

Momentsofpleasure1 TripAdvisor review

We booked for a room with river view but after check in, we were shocked to have a suite facing garden with two ugly construction objects ! At the front desk, Ms Sophia Liang listened to my complaints patiently, and after a bit of time, she was able to handle our situation with true hospitality! We were able to receive an amazing upgrade ,along with our friends, to a beautiful two bedroom villa that faces the river and mountains! That evening, Ms Liang even drove us personally to the villa to make sure we were satisfied with our accommodations prior to moving over! I am truly impressed with her hospitable service! She has given us Five star service deserving of praise!

Poorly managed premium resort

This resort is badly managed. Premium resort price and amenities with budget hotel services. Location is nice, but terrible traffic in and out of hotel due to congestion. Many staff seem to be poorly trained new recruits. Activities offered by the hotel are charged at much higher prices than local standards (3x), yet services provided don’t match the hefty fees they charge as hotel outsources contractors for these activities without proper quality control or basic training. Breakfast choices are great, but again breakfast room is badly management. It felt like a war zone during peak dining hours - loud and chaotic as angry guests complaining why they had to queue for breakfast while there were still many vacant seats inside. Overall we are very disappointed, especially considering it’s a Banyan Tree resort.

Check in service staff was brief and never share much info about the hotel. Bedding was not thoroughly cleaned was bitten by bed bug. Free photo service provided by hotel but photographer was not professional. Hotel staff ask for good review in exchange to give you better service and offer.

My family and I had a wonderful time at the banyan tree hotel in Yangshuo. The location, right by the river, offered stunning views of the mountains and an enchanting light show. Hotel provided plenty of dining options, catering to both Chinese and Western tastes. Our room was comfortable, with a cozy bed and modern amenities. The gym was well-equipped, and although the swimming pool was lovely.

The hotel is located in the perfect spot .The hotel room is clean, the beds and pillows are very comfortable. The shower has great water pressure and bathroom is very clean. The front desk people are friendly, helpful and extremely efficient. The lovely concierge always greeted us as we walked in and out of the hotel. The food was good and it had a variety of western and traditional food.
