Angsana Velavaru

The island itself is beautiful.We reached there by Sea Plane and everything went smoothly from the time of arrival at the airport to the island. We stayed at the Beach villas for 5 nights and for 2 nights at the Ocean Villas.Although the Ocean Villas were large and had their own pool, we preferred the Beach villas with a pool. The staff at the Pool Bar where we had drinks and lunch were very attentive, especially Shibin and Sunil.All the bar staff were very eager to please us. As we were All inclusive, we could have all meals at the main Restaurant too.There was a variety of food to cater for all tastes but it does become a bit repetitive. The staff here like Imthyaz, Rohan( one of the Chefs) and Ajija were very attentive.All the Staff here were excellent and enquired after us and about the food.Above all The Restaurant Manager Sebastian, made us feel at home and was a great communicator. We have been to the Maldives several times and this is a great resort to visit.The reef is some distance away but a speed boat can take you there.There is a Padi Dive centre and a spa as well.

This is our second visit and it won’t be our last! This resort is absolute paradise! From the flowers welcoming us back on the arrival and the happy birthday message on the bed just before we departed! Our waiter Totti absolutely spoiled us. The spa services were incredible and we indulged every day. The new gym was a great addition. The best was stepping out of our room every morning, putting on our snorkel gear and snorkeling in the most gorgeous coral reef. It was like swimming in the most spectacular aquarium! We could not be happier and can’t wait to book our next trip!

Our stay at Angsana Velavaru Resort in the Maldives was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, they ensured everything was taken care of perfectly. The staff at the resort were incredibly attentive and went above and beyond to ensure that all our needs were met with a lot of care and warmth. A special mention goes to Totti, Ziwan, Fayaz,and Ajiji, whose hospitality was exceptional. They always ensured we were comfortable and taken care of throughout our stay. Their genuine kindness and attention to detail made us feel right at home. However, what truly made our experience extraordinary was Shadoon. He is the epitome of outstanding service and did everything he could to make our stay as pleasurable as possible, ensuring that every detail was perfect. From organizing activities to managing all our requests, he made sure we had no worries during our time at the resort. The resort itself is quite breathtaking, with a lot of activities that are well thought out. We especially enjoyed the sunset cruise where we got to see the dolphins and the massages at the Spa were lovely too. The pool bar Kuredi was good fun too and again, the staff here made sure we had a great time as well. Thanks to ali our photographer who helped us capture some unforgettable memories on this trip. The entire team truly made this a trip to remember. Thank you for everything, Angsana Velavuru is definitely all heart!

Amazing property especially the sea villas. The staff was very hospitable. A special mention for Totti, Sunil, Fayaz and Ziwan. They not only served us well but also guided us to make our stay comfortable and memorable. We really enjoyed our stay.

Had a really good time at Angsana Velavaru. I spent 2 days in the island resort and 1 day in the ocean villa. The room of both stays were very clean and well-kept by Irushad and Irey. I remember receiving a warm welcome by Imran right after alighting from the boat. Reception and check-in was really convenient and stress-free. During the evening, I highly recommend going for the sunset cruise. The sky was painted in amazing hues against the ocean blue. We were so lucky to meet playful dolphins along the way. The vibe of the cruise ride was great! Sumith poured us a glass of champagne and everyone danced the night away. Amazing! On the following day, we went on a snorkelling trip to find manta rays and whale shark. We were blessed with calm waters. It was breath-taking to come face to face with these majestic graceful creatures. The manta rays were flying in the water and dancing in circles. What a magical moment. Would like to mention Ageel for taking care of me on this snorkel trip. He helped guide me where to swim and made me feel very safe. Although we did not get to meet the whale sharks, it was a fulfilling trip to snorkel with the manta rays. Time flew by! I also appreciate that we were educated on the proper way to engage with the animals and to show respect for their home. We ended the ride with some bentos on board. Just in time to fill our hungry bellies. We also visited a reef on a deserted island. Spotted a resident turtle! The guides took many great videos! We returned to the villa and sunset on the island is just as amazing. It was also full moon. We took a peaceful walk along the quiet beach. The sky was yet again bursting in colourful shades of pink and orange. A sight to behold. On the next day, we had a photoshoot scheduled with Angsana’s resident photographer, Ali. Ali is skilled and professional at his work. We had the photography session on the island and in our ocean villa. As someone who is shy in front of the camera, he was very friendly and good at giving ideas and instructions without being pushy. It was such a comfortable shoot. The photos and videos turned out really amazing! Moving to the ocean villa was also a breeze. Eli and Daisy handled all our enquiries and luggages. There was nothing to worry about the transit even though the ocean villa is disconnected from the main island. Enjoyed the stay at the ocean villa the most! I love that it gave us adequate privacy and easy access to the ocean. The house reef is within reach. We snorkelled our way out and met cute creatures like eagle ray, stingray, a shy turtle and many reef fishes. It was a luxury to view the sunrise from the comfort of our bed. However, important to note that food options are quite limited both at the ocean villa and island resort. Apart from that, I enjoyed the atmosphere and friendliness of the staff. To name a few, there was Shibin and Imthi who made sure we were comfortable during our meals. There was also a smiley chef Rohim who made great desserts! I love the hot churros and crepe offered at the cooking station. On the last night, I got to experience a Maldivian performance. Listening to the drumbeats and music from the beach bed against a starry sky was such a nice way to end the night. All in all, I highly recommend Angsana Velavaru for anyone who wants to experience Maldives in a well-rounded way with a mix of privacy and a lively environment!
