Raffles Udaipur 5 stars

Pros 1) Exotic location unmatched bang in the middle of lake. It's an experience itself to arrive in style! 2) The main building itself gives a feeling of being somewhere in a palace in UK 3) The service is exceptional. They more than make up for the flaws mentioned below. Especial mention to Nikitia, Dinki ,Shreyas and Chef Durga for their attentive services Cons 1) Food served is well below average. You would expect the food to be of top quality and prevention but the food which comes out is actually quite uninspiring Though as mentioned below, the remarks in food were taken seriously and the above team went out of their way to correct the outcome so cannot complaint 2) The restaurant/ dining is where I feel they missed a trick. You are in the middle of a lake and you would expect atleast one meal to be near the lake wherein you experience the outside in the property while you dine Overall a very good stay with food and dining experience being the only thing that I can ask for improvement

It was good. Very kind and caring staff. Our butler Nikita was very caring. Gaurav was very helpful in initial arrangements and support too. Only concern is overall logistics especially when there is some events, things seem to get mixed up. As individual guests, I don’t prefer some sudden crowd occupying everything.This is nothing to do with staff or service, it is more of a hotel management to look into to see.

The amount that you charged from us is not worth the stay that you provided. During breakfast on both days, we had to repeat our orders multiple times to the same staff. to complete the order, and despite that our order was not brought to us. Add the pan Asian restaurant to the service was terrible, the waiters were not even serving water for at least 15 minutes after we sat down. After check out, yesterday we were told at the reception that the luggage has already reached the Lakeshore jetty, and accordingly we had booked an Uber, but when we arrived at the other end of the lake, the luggage had not been delivered. It took 30 more minutes for the luggage to be delivered and we had to wait and the Uber driver charged us almost double of what we had to pay to go to the airport. I have stayed across many five-star and seven-star hotels across the world, but this is the first hotel where I found that meals for kids below five years is being charged. Normally, all hotels provide free of cost meals for children below five years. My child is just three years old, but all meals were charged. I am quite disappointed with the overall experience that I had. It was my wife’s birthday on 18th October and the experience could have been better. I’m not sure if I would ever come back again or would recommend it to anyone.

We had just stayed at oberois for 2 days , and where we had heard that the hospitality is non comparable , I really wanted to give raffles a try! But I was supremely disappointed by the way we were served during all meals . Some questions unanswered as well. Although the property was well maintained and the room was good .. we as a family including by 10 year old son - highly regretted our choice of staying at raffles .
