PROS: Location Great staff so-so breakfast CONS: No closets Inconsistent room sizes My bathroom was cramped No luggage rack No iron in room Wifi was spotty Overall this hotel was okay. The location was near a lot of must see spots, however the rooms weren't efficient.

Brand new refurbished property, with excellent bedding, clean rooms and a spacious bathroom. Balconies overlooking the city streets were an unexpected plus. I was particularly impressed by the excellent breakfast and thorough welcome that we received from the staff. This is a very well trained team and really a model for the ibis brand. Only downside was that tv reception was a bit spotty - I think to due with their cable or satellite connection? But this was not crucial for our stay. I would absolutely stay here again the next time I am in Porto!

Quirky hotel with old fashioned lifts and little balconies to enjoy in nice weather! Superb location!

You can't beat this hotel for its location. It's location couldn't be more ideal sitting on Rua Sá da Bandeira which runs parallel to one of the most popular pedestrianised streets Rua Santa Catarina. It is a 10-15 minute walk to the beautifully preserved São Bento railway station which is one of the most popular attractions in Europe and truly is a stunning sight to behold. On the many side streets along this route there are so many food and shopping options. The room was small but clean and the hot water came on right away. The bed was comfy and I loved the open wooden shelving system so you can easily see all your belongings and don't risk leaving something behind. Breakfast was fine though the space in which to move around is challenging when you have large groups of people. Wifi was free and reliable. There are two lifts which are remnants of the old apartment building which isn't adequate when many people are checking in and out of the hotel. I had to walk the 3 flights of stairs on 2 occasions. Otherwise the staff are pleasant and helpful and you're guaranteed a pretty good night's sleep.

We booked 2 rooms and stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. The staff there are friendly and checking in and out were very fast. The rooms are well maintained and housekeeping is good. Perhaps the best thing about the hotel is its location, which is within walking distance to several attractions.

Disappointing to say the least. Started off with friendly staff however when I had to call down to let them know that shower wouldn’t drain and had in fact flooded the bathroom and I needed to shower ASAP as we had a tour things went downhill quickly. A guy showed up with a bunch of towels (clearly this wasn’t the first time) and said he would send maintenance up. We waited 40 mins and I called down only to be told it would be more than an hour before maintenance would be coming. I said I needed to shower and the concierge said go ahead and shower. Ummmm madame the bathroom was FLOODED and she seemed unconcerned. I then showered like I was in an RV. Shutting it off while soaping up which is definitely not ideal in an unfamiliar shower. I got soap in my eyes many time. That evening I went down to the 24 hour lobby to get a water and coffee. I inquired as to where to get coffee cups and the staff working was horribly rude and pointed like I was stupid at some paper cups (which by the way do NOT fit the automatic coffee sizes out of the machine). The next morning the staff asking what room we were in scoffed at my husband when he told her which room we were in. First rude people we met in Portugal. Everyone else has been fantastic! Glad to never return to this hotel.
