The design of ibis Styles Kiel is unique with its location in the port city of Kiel: safety net on the mirror or the pattern of fish scales on the bedside. Carefully selected elements, such as decorative wall plates with sprat and fish motifs, harbour flair in design. Arrival by car: The hotel entrance is located in a pedestrian zone and can't be driven into. Drive to the following indoor car park: Förde Parkhaus, Kaistraße 1, 24103 Kiel (right next to the hotel)

It is quite nice to come to a new (or newly renovated) hotel. I continue to be amazed that simenpractical aspects aren't more considered with (better) experts and/or user testgroups: - why does only one side of the bed have a nightstand to put your book, earplugs, etc. on <- that's 'crazy'!! - why aren't there hooks just next to the shower to hang your towel on for after the shower and/or your clothes/underwear!? - why isn't there some sort of (foldable) table and chair where you can sit to use your laptop (or to write a letter)? - why is the restaurant and bar filled with huge screens so that there isn't a spot where you can sit and talk to your company/friends without constantly having moving images in your sights? - why does the restaurant/bar space not have somewhat better sound dampening or more privacy? When it's full it looks like a 'office restaurant'.

We did pay for breakfrost when we book the room - but every morning we notice at everyone did go too the morning buffe and eat - no one did check if they had pay for it. You can book room without breakfrost and stille eat it - thats not okay.
