A fairly modern tourist class hotel located within walking distance of the old centre of Batavia, but at a distance from other tourist sites. Our room was clean and very comfortable. As we were facing away from the road it was also very quiet. The hot water in our room was disappointing. We had to run the hot water tap for about three minutes before any hot water arrived and even then it only reached a tepid temperature. The only other disappointment was the quality of towels which were thin, greying and becoming threadbare. This is not acceptable for this standard of hotel. Investment is needed in this area. Almost all staff were very friendly and helpful. The exception were the BellBoys who provided no assistance with luggage upon our arrival at the hotel, which left an unfortunate impression but was balanced by the other staff inside the hotel who were a delight. Food was good and was served by attentive and friendly waiting staff. Breakfast had very limited Western options but for those of an even slightly adventurous spirit there is a good choice of other options in the buffet to meet almost all tastes.

Checked-in for one night only and this hotel has awesome facilities. The 4 stars but feels like 5 stars. Checked in with Ai Sapitri and also the another Front Desk has warm smile and hospitality named Erna. Both of them very attentive and good manner. Definitely will coming back very soon! 😘

i give you some tips. if you like to have room with nice city view, i recommend you choose on level 8. you will see good city view from the room in the morning. Room so big for superior class. the price not to expensive.

Really enjoy to stay at Mercure Hotel Jakarta Batavia, room was GREAT!! Clean, bed was so comfy and i had a great view from my window. I stay in room 929 and the staff was cleaning my room was so kind, friendly and nice to give me all the clean towels and amenities. Will definitely come back! Good job!
