Our stay at this so-called five-star hotel was extremely disappointing and absolutely unacceptable for the level of service it claims to provide. We booked a non-smoking room specifically because we were traveling with a newborn baby and young children. Despite this, several times a day our room was filled with a very strong smell of cigarette smoke coming from the room above. The odor was intense, persistent, and created an unsafe environment — especially for a newborn, who is extremely sensitive to second-hand smoke. I reported this issue yesterday to both housekeeping and the front desk. Unfortunately, no meaningful action was taken. The only “solution” offered was a small, noisy humidifier, which did nothing to reduce the smell due to how strong the smoke was. After multiple complaints, the situation remained unchanged — the hotel simply ignored a serious health and safety issue. We are checking out tomorrow, and with a newborn, small children, and many belongings, changing rooms was not a realistic option. But that does not excuse the hotel from failing to provide the conditions that we paid for — especially when a non-smoking room and the health of a newborn are involved. For a property that advertises itself as luxury and five-star, this complete lack of responsibility, ineffective response, and disregard for guests’ safety is absolutely unacceptable. I do not recommend this hotel to families with children or anyone expecting proper service, enforcement of rules, and a safe, smoke-free environment.

This is an excellent hotel with great views of the City @ Bosphoros. It is conveniently located, a short walk to Kabataş ferry terminal and light rail station which gives you access to all of the main sights in Istanbul. The Swissotel Bosphoros service levels and food and bar options are second to none and the staff could not be more helpful. I would like to particularly thank Hüseyin & Ali in the Executive Lounge for their advice, support and friendship during our stay. When we visit Istanbul again I’m sure we will be welcomed back at the Hotel like old friends. Teşekkür ederim! S&J

Burakakan was Very professional and warm. He was very attentive to the needs of the table and quick to help out with everything that was needed. He had a very good attitude and was very pleasant to deal with and went above and beyond what is needed.
