Sofitel İstanbul Taksim

Sofitel Taksim is a well-located hotel in the heart of Istanbul, right on bustling Istiklal Street. As you step into the Sofitel, you'll immediately notice the calming ambiance it offers. The lobby boasts ample seating, although it may lack a vibrant social atmosphere as it's not often frequented by guests seeking relaxation. The rooms are beautifully presented, with clean and well-maintained bathrooms. The room size is comfortable, featuring a cozy seating area by the window. Downstairs, the spa facilities are excellent, offering guests complimentary access to the gym, swimming pool, sauna, and steam room. However, our experience at this hotel was marred by issues with service and breakfast. Despite emailing Accor to request three interconnecting rooms on the same floor, the hotel seemed unaware of our request and attempted to place us on different floors. Room cleaning was inconsistent, with dirty cups left unattended for days. The biggest letdown was the hot breakfast, with some favourites like hash browns and beans conspicuously absent from the menu. The breakfast staff appeared either inexperienced or overwhelmed, often forgetting to serve tea and coffee. There was also a lack of an organized seating system, leaving guests to fend for themselves in finding a clean table, which was not always easy. Additionally, the hotel has a rooftop terrace restaurant/bar, but it's outsourced to a third party and not particularly welcoming to hotel guests, often displaying rudeness. In summary, Sofitel Taksim boasts lovely decor and an excellent location. However, there is certainly room for improvement in terms of service and breakfast quality.

I thought a Sofitel could be a good choice to stay in Istambul. However, it was a great mistake. I would not advise this hotel for people who wish to sleep after 11 PM, for people who come with kids, or older family members. The disco bar/restaurant on the upper floor is extremely noisy, the music vibration is to hard to support. I called the reception twice and they have promised that the music will shut at 12:30, but it was just a lie. I've just arrived and have to stay 4 more nights in this disaster. I am ready to cry.

Every time we stay at Sofitel, we experience a dreamy, unique stay at a good, friendly hotel! Most of the staff are so friendly and by naming them here, I want to thank them for all they did to make our visit a memorable and wonderful one: Setareh, the manager; Burhan, Alper, and Emreh in reception! That’s because of them that we prefer to stay in this very hotel every time we travel to Istanbul! The Nomads club is out of this world! I will definitely suggest Sofitel Hotel to stay!

I am really happy with great hospitality and specially from breakfast service . Thanks dear setareh who made us a nice memory . Very friendly staff . Definitely recommend to anyone who want to go istanbul near taksin sqaure !

The staff are amazing , really helpful and friendly! In particular two young members of the restaurant/hotel called Furkon & Rava were so lovely and friendly. They helped us a lot with food and drink recommendations and Turkish traditions. I totally recommend this place! Coming from Australia, this place is highly recommended if you want a great team to look after you!
