A really beautiful and tranquil hotel with good service and friendly staff! Would definitely recommend and stay there again. Its located just minutes away from the Freedom beach which is an absolute must visit.

Our first visit to avista hideaway and when we arrived our room wasn't ready. So staff brought us to restaurant for a complimentary meal food was very nice and well cooked. Breakfast you have a good choice and also very nice as well. When we got in our room we had a small lipstick stain on bed. So told reception and they sorted it straight away. The staff here are absolutely brilliant and friendly and can't do enough for you. They help you in everyway possible. We had an issue with aircon on one of days. And straight away it was sorted. They staff definitely give a five star service for you. The hotel is like a maze though and it can take a week to find your way round ha ha but other than that it's in a great location away from town and rooms are all very nice and well equipped. We enjoyed our week here and again all the staff are brilliant from the reception to the restaurant and the cleaners they go out of there way to help you so thank you to you all. I gave 4 stars to hotel as there's just a couple of things I would like to recommend 1 = check no fingerprints on glass and taps after cleaning 2 = Update signs to make it easier to get round hotel

I m actually staying right now in the hotel. We will stay for 3 nights. Positive: very beautiful resort with very good pools specially the pool beside and underneath the breakfast place. The pool tiles look new so you feel the pool is so clean. The bar tenders beside the pool were very friendly. The room itself have a big area 55 square meter with a good decoration. But but negatives: Almost i can say there is no housekeeping and cleaning for our room during this time. First night i stayed in a room beside a pool which was beside small pool of hotel so you heard water circulation from midnight til morning because the windows are not sound proof. Also there was another major problem about the card key of the rooms. I heard from trip advisor about that but that was true. Your key sometimes doesn’t work without any specific reason and you must go to reception at midnight for key issue. I saw so many guest in hotel at their doors and tried key which wouldn’t work till they go far far to reception. On the second day they said they can change my room to a room more private and quiet and they changed it to a room just over the breakfast area so we heard the sound of tables and chairs beneath us from 6:30 am in morning. It is not a problem. In the morning I realized that the steams in our bathroom doesn’t evacuate because the ventilation system of the bathroom doesn’t work. I called the reception and they told me they will send some one which they don’t. Also in morning i turned on the sign ( please clean my room) and also i called reception by myself and ask them to inform housekeeping they told me ok sure. But now still i m in my room without daily cleaning and also broken ventilation system of bathroom. I called the reception again and they said sorry only. I asked them please at least bring me new towels and after 15 mins somebody came and gave me only two towel for my body not for my head. Is it 5 star service? I don’t think so. Hardly i can say here is a good four point resort. I didn’t tell you this 100 percent sure but i think you can open other doors with your key rooms maybe because of electric problem which is not safe and i think i saw this happened during my stay when the staff wanted to change my room and open another guest room with my key which was occupied with another guest and i saw one piece of cloths and asked hotel staff to close it and ask the reception about this problem. Will i come back to this hotel ? Absolutely not. Would i recommend this place to you? If they solve their electric issues about their door especially for key issue and also work on their housekeeping and reception maybe.

We had a wonderful week at this hotel. The staff were exemplary - every request we made was executed quickly, efficiently and with a smile. We couldn’t have asked for more. The room was beautiful - great Mountain views, a beautiful alcove, plenty of seating areas and both a bath and shower. The control pad for the lights and requesting that the room be cleaned was a very nice touch too. Breakfast was glorious - plenty of fresh fruit, Thai food, pastries and facilities to request omelettes. The pools were also wonderful. Another bonus was the complementary 4pm shuttle to Patong saving 300 baht in taxi fares every day. As we were checking out on our final day, very unfortunately we witnessed a guest contesting his bill very rudely including swearing repeatedly at the front desk staff. Despite our intervention, he didn’t stop. Please don’t behave in this way - the staff are simply doing their jobs. I hope they’re all ok. Thank you for a wonderful holiday.
