Booked a family room for 4 at the 4-star Novotel in Phuket… only to discover that “room for 4” apparently means 3 beds. Yes, one of us was suddenly bedless. Plot twist! Reception calmly told us this was fine and that if we wanted everyone to actually sleep in a bed, we’d need to pay for an extra one. Who knew? I certainly didn’t expect that booking a room for 4 might come with a surprise math lesson. Sure, it’s in the fine print on their website, but honestly… who reads that? And even if you do, who expects a 4-star hotel to pull a trick like this? Not me. In the end, we paid for the extra bed—adding almost 20% to our bill. The staff seemed oddly proud of their little revenue hack. I guess some people call it “entrepreneurial spirit”; I call it “sleep roulette.” So, families: unless one of you enjoys sleeping on the floor, I’d look elsewhere. Phuket has plenty of other 4-star hotels where 4 people actually get 4 beds—crazy concept, I know. Novotel Phuket: surprising, slightly amusing, but not exactly family-friendly.

As explained during your stay, all our rooms allow families to accommodate two adults and two children (up to 16 years old) using the existing bedding, which includes one double bed and one sofa bed. Many families appreciate this flexible setup, as it allows them to stay together in one room at no additional charge. The room configuration and bedding details are clearly stated in the “Room Details” and “Pricing Conditions” sections of our booking channels, prominently visible prior to confirming the reservation. Other room types, such as those with additional twin beds or bunk beds, are also available for guests who prefer separate sleeping arrangements. We truly regret if this was not clear at the time of booking. Please rest assured that we never intend to mislead guests, and any extra bed provided is charged at THB 1,000 net per night, which we believe is in line with standard practices among hotels in the area. We sincerely hope we may have the opportunity to welcome you and your family back in the future and provide the enjoyable and comfortable experience that we always strive to deliver. Returned After 15 Years — The Magic of Novotel Phuket Resort Still Lives On

We recently returned to Novotel Phuket Resort to celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary, and it was an incredibly special experience, because this is the same hotel where we spent our honeymoon back in 2010. Fifteen years later, we were amazed to see that everything is still more than perfect. In fact, it’s even better. The hotel has beautifully maintained its charm, the tropical gardens and sea views are breathtaking, and the location is just ideal, only minutes away from the lively Patong Beach. The staff were absolutely amazing, just as warm and welcoming as we remembered. Every team member went above and beyond to make our stay memorable, from the reception to the restaurant, housekeeping and security team, everyone welcomed us with sincere warmth and kindness. A very special thank to the entire reception and front desk team, who truly made our stay unforgettable. From the moment we arrived until the moment we left, they greeted us with smiles and genuine hospitality. They were always polite, attentive, and eager to assist with anything we needed. Truly one of the most professional and welcoming teams I have ever seen. The service, cleanliness, and overall atmosphere were exceptional. We loved the the relaxing pools surrounded by greenery, and the cozy rooms with the breathtaking view from our balcony. Returning here brought back so many beautiful memories, and we are grateful to see that Novotel Phuket Resort continues to offer the same quality and hospitality. Thank you to all the wonderful staff for making our stay unforgettable again. We will definitely be back again, and for sure much sooner this time! 💕

We had lah as a house keeper and loved her , all the staff were very accommodating. Will definitely be coming back. From reviews I read I thought it would be quite it would be quite dated and didn't find it that way at all. Awesome amenities for kids. My 5 year old just did a Thai kick boxing lesson and loved it and the staff that run it did amazing with the kids
