BEWARE - Double Charge Scam by IBIS Styles Dubai Airport and booking.com- No refund till date

I booked 3 rooms at IBIS Styles Dubai AirPort for 1 night on 6 Oct 2025 booking.com and paid full amount(AED 1003.95) on check-in through booking.com. However when we returned INDIA, we noticed hotel had charged same amount from my credit card (INR 26110 close to AED 1003.95 ). I tried clearing things up with hotel for over a month and they said they are looking into matter. After 1 month they replied they have initiated refund. However when I aaked for proof of refund they shared refund information of AED 669(lesser than AED 1003.95) and that too with incorrect credit card number. Since then IBIS team is not responding. I tried to get booking.com involved but hotel is making excuses by asking credit card statement showing AED charge instead of INR which is not possible as charge was dynamically converted and there is DCC charge on my card as well. Did not expected this kind of cheating from IBIS and 0 accountability by booking.com as well. Not going to use BOOKING.com and IBIS/Accor

there was an unpleasant aftertaste. upon registration, it turned out that our reservation was missing (this situation was not only with us, as other tourists told us). The girl at the reception had a displeased face, as if uninvited guests had come to her house. at the same time, the joint was on their part, but she didn't even apologize! and it was already late in the evening and we just wanted to relax before the next flight. We had breakfast/dinner booked. but it turned out that we were late for dinner, we were not offered any alternatives other than a paid room service. breakfast for 3 stars is quite decent. But we won't stop here anymore.
