I’m surprised at all the poor reviews. My room on the second floor was lovely, shower pressure and temperature were fine in the morning. Location is brilliant and staff were friendly. I loved the quirky artwork in the corridors. I would most definitely stay here again.

No AC, no phone in room and no hot water in first night/morning. Many complaints in morning but no offer of compensation,Self service breast fast with no staff on hand at a cost of £48 for three. No pool or spa as advertised on line. Parking expensive at £17 off a day. Fridge not replenished despite asking and not working although several drinks were included in room rate. Good size room and superb bed.

Run down and very noisy, room next door kept us awake untill 4am .and to make matters worse when we got up, there was no hot water for a shower . In the future we will stay at the radison blue, hilton or holiday inn . Staff were ok and yhe breakfast was adequate

My fiancé and I celebrated our wedding day here a fortnight ago and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful. Lora, Meetings & Events Sales Manager, was really helpful planning the day with us and everything we wanted she supplied. On the day Louise was there to make sure everything ran to plan and helped iron out last minute ‘tweaks’. She really made me feel that she understood how important it was to us that everything was perfect. Several of our family and friends stayed there, as did we, and enjoyed it. So, thank you Lora, Louise, Raj and Melania you all helped make it an unforgettable wedding day the everyone enjoyed.

This is an old and once grand hotel right in the centre of Bristol. Some rooms are gorgeous, some are just nice and a bit tired. But it’s the staff that make it… In particular Armani on reception. She’s a superstar - honestly the best receptionist I’ve ever met - and I travel a lot. She bent over backwards to help and advise me - above and beyond her role. Fantastic
