Tired hotel. Pool has been shutdown

Customer review rating 1.5/5

S M. Business - Confirmed reviews ALL

Everything in the hotel felt tired. I had booked it on the Accor website as it had a pool, but on arrival it turns out that it is shut down. The room itself was large, but the bathroom was tired and hadn't been serviced properly. Staff seemed either worked off their feet or disinterested. Breakfast quality was poor and not worth the money

Dear S M, Thank you for taking the time to share your review. Our apologies that the pool has closed. We have requested this facility is removed from our website. We have shared your feedback with the team so they can where necessary take remedial action. Thank you again for taking the time to leave your feedback. Kind Regards, Chris Falcus General Manager

Stayed for 2 nights. Room was very big and quiet. Breakfast was great. One drinking glass still had ?soap scum in it, & there were cobwebs hanging from the ceiling above the bed. Apart from those niggles it was a very comfortable stay.

Dear Barry, Thank you for taking the time to share your review. We are pleased you had a comfortable stay. We have shared your comments with the relevant managers so they can take corrective action. We hope to welcome you back to our hotel very soon. Kind Regards, Chris Falcus General Manager

Hotel in need of improvement

Our room was tired, with stained carpet and tiles. The replacement of phone with whats app was not helpful for your customers, merely to enable you to cut down on customer contact.

Dear Geoff, Thank you for taking the time to share your review. The use of WhatsApp is simply for hygiene. Our guests do not need to speak into a communal telephone. Guests can either text or call the number and speak to someone at reception the same as previously. Thank you again for taking the time to leave your feedback. City breaks on foot

TripAdvisor rating 4.0/5

Will C Families - TripAdvisor review

Good company, pleasant and engaging Leader and superb Mercure Hotel very close to the city centre, comfortably furnished and very spacious. The city breaks are excellent holidays combining two cities, both brimming with history and sights to explore. A great balance of walking and sightseeing in both cities with excellent blue badge tourism guides. Both our excellent guides were knowledgeable, friendly and interesting. Good meals in a modern restaurant at the Hotel. The street food from a vibrant food market in Bristol, packed with cafes and food stalls was a great way to experience local life, admiring the views of the city too! Thank you Ramblers Walking Holidays, we saw a lot, learnt about both cities and enjoyed exploring two amazing cities, maritime Bristol & regal Bath-all on foot!

Dear Will C Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. We are pleased you enjoyed your stay and the city break was excellent combining both Bristol and Bath. We look forward to welcoming you back in the near future. regards Chris
