Customer service on main reception was always absent and not picking up phone during the three nights stay. I paid extra for comfort room but mattress and pillows were hard like stone. On complain they offered down grade room. Spent Uncomfortable three nights stay and ended up with flue and unwell health due to uncomfortable three nights stay. Many times called reception but never ever they pick up phone from our room for any help. Room card reader many time not work and I went to reception which was half mile away from my room. Room didn’t have cupboard just one rod there in which few hangers were with some of them broken. Receptionist lady always leaving the reception area and visited to Resturant. Breakfast was cold and not variety.

It is the first time I have stayed in a hotel in the UK without coffee/tea making facilities in the room. The apparent coffee corner for clientele use was unavailable. There was no non slip surface in the bath for using the shower. The shower gel was empty. However the staff were pleasant and polite.

Fine, but a bit tired

The rooms were clean and the beds comfy. The breakfast was nice, and the room well presented. Three main issues - (1) the reception desk was often completely empty with no way of contacting anyone. A bell, or pager/phone would be better. (2) The rooms had peeling paint by the windows, and the whole decor looked in need of an up-lift (3) The windows don't open very far at all. I understand this is because we were on the ground floor, but is there anyway to create more ventilation?

The cost for a family to stay at this hotel is extortionate. 2 adults and 2 children made to stay in 2 different rooms and costs 3 times more than a recent stay in London. Meanwhile family member paid a third of what we paid. We could easily have all stayed in the privilege room
