This hotel is quite old, but some of the interiors have been refurbished. Our room on the 11th floor had a new shower room and was clean. However the double glazing seal had failed so the window was somewhat damp and cloudy between the two panes of glass. Dining is strange. There is no facility for an evening meal and although there is a limited menu with such as pasta or pizza for in room dining, I heard one guest being advised that this was not currently available. It would be better if the hotel stated no evening dining on their website and booking. Breakfast was ok, we’ve had worse and better. The staff in the breakfast room were busy topping up the buffet and one lady in particular was outstanding, she deserves a pay bonus! Would we return? Probably not due to the lack of evening meal and we have stayed at better hotels (for us) in Liverpool.

We booked with travel agent for the Liverpool game for 2 nights and booked one night on booking.com ourselves. The location was great. The hotel is right at the waterfront with phenomenal views if the windows where clean. The bar isn’t over priced but service is disappointing. A great base for exploring Liverpool but that it. Place needs upgrade and staff need training in F&B feels like they don't want to be there. Made to feel like your inconvenience to them.... 45 mins waiting for a coffee, im still waiting..... The reception team is very welcoming though. The roof top bar was beautiful to sit down if you could get a drink. Terrible noise from the room next door at night. It felt like they were in our own room. The room is very small and cramped. Breakfast very disappointing disorganised, tick your name off and off you go. No direction given, we didn't see the cold buffet behind the door left... toast area until we where leaving and thought it was strange setup with just hot buffet. The hot breakfast was cold, very disappointing and at £17.00 person you want better quality. Staff give the impression they don't want to be there, was not friendly one bit. The bar service was the worst I ever experienced in any hotel I've stayed in. I order coffee paid for it and waited 45 mins and never got it. You'd order drinks at the bar and barman would give you this unwelcome stare. Really disappointing experience to be honest and put us off having dinner in the place.

Unfortunately the hotel was reserved and paid for on check-in.I’m embarrassed to say we paid four times the price of Booking.com. We had a room on the eleventh floor. The room smelt of damp and had mould in corner of the wall/ceiling. The window had something splashed across it on the outside. The bedside lamp looked like a fizzy drink of some kind had been opened and sprayed near it and was badly stained. The couple we went with also had issues, so we all went to complain and get the room changed. My wife has breathing issues and the damp is dangerous to her health. The receptionist stated that they have damp issues due to the room being high up and then proceeded to give us the room next door to our previous room on the eleventh floor 🤯. This room was satisfactory Bed was okay, wardrobe doors didn’t close, Air conditioning didn’t work to warm up the cold room and room desperately in need of re-decoration. On the plus side, bed was clean and the shower was good and the staff we met were very nice. Beware!! Breakfast is separate and cost £17.00per day, but it was on offer for £13 odd, for a basic buffet breakfast. Car parking was £14.00 a day. Back to Premier Inn for us.
