Great location for a city break in the heart of the city

NotinghamFrenchy Families - TripAdvisor review

Great location. Warm welcome. Room had everything we needed. Large light bathroom. It was clean. Shower could do with more pressure. Staff at front desk and restaurant were lovely and attentive. A special thanks to Suzan who works tirelessly.

Nice old hotel, needs modernisation

This hotel is an old Victorian hotel right in the centre of the city just off union Street. It is nice enough, but does need updating sympathetically in keeping with its age. Slightly thread bare carpets on the stairs and in my room could easily be solved. Its also a bit weird now having an over bath shower. Bar area is nice which also doubles up as breakfast room. Breakfast is very good with a lovely hot and cold buffet with good options. For a small surcharge you can order freshly cooked items. I liked the location, the bar and breakfast, and that's why I'd stay again.

Good location for exploring the city centre

This is our third trip to Aberdeen in as many weeks and stayed here due to location. Unfortunately the menu had not changed at all so we were limited in choice of food. Also the wifi did not work during our stay. The hotel is now getting old and needs some updating, but the original features of the hotel make it stand out from the "box standard rooms" in most hotels.

Room was comfortable but no wifi my whole stay

The room and hotel were comfortable and staff accommodating but I needed wifi for my work and it wasn’t working.

Bad experience

Bed was clean but the room itself was grubby, the bathroom was ancient with an old chipped bath. It looks as though nothing has been done with decor or furnishings since about 1990. Wi-fi was down and I was there on business so had meetings and had work to do which was extremely inconvenient. Not impressed at all. Will not return.
