On arrival to the room I immediately recognised how cold it was. The window was wide open, and couldn’t understand the reasoning behind a portable electric heater in the middle of the room. I attempted to turn on air conditioning fan to heat up the room. Unfortunately this was broken. I had messaged the Ibis via there WhatsApp to be told that the heat in this particular room had been broken !!! After being told there is no way to facilitate another room , I had requested the managers email to make a formal complaint as this was a disgrace. On looking on several booking websites for another more comfortable accommodation I had noticed that there was availability in the ibis hotel. This was highlighted to the staff, and of course a room became available. Anyone booking this week beware of room 126!!! It’s a disgrace paying for a cold room with a portable heater, defeats the purpose of going and staying in a hotel !

Great experience, friendly and welcoming team. Breakfast had plenty of choice and the hotel is in a great location within walking distance of Manchester Piccadilly station, local shops, bars and restaurants. I would recommend staying if visiting Manchester.

The check in was bad. The reception was not aware that my child would stay with us and made a fuss about ut. Thankfully i had the email from the manager approving that which i was asked to forward right there and then. It was clearly an internal miscomunication which i found very unprofessional that they made the client aware of this in this way.

We had a lovely stay Friday to Sunday for my daughter 21st, our first time in Manchester, near Piccadilly train station, upon arrival reception staff very friendly, when we entered our room, it was clean tidy, like other reviews I’ve read a bit quirky in a good way! A nice touch of balloons card & a birthday message, thank you! Location is great we walked to Alcotraz, which was good fun, then to bridge water hall to see Alison Moyet, bit of a let down but nice place! We headed back to our room, we both slept really well bed so comfy, we couldn’t hear other people around only sirens occasionally from emergency services! Overall great place to stay!
