Lovely Hotel with excellent helpful staff. It’s a little out of the way but everything is walkable from the Hotel even though I was there in a heat wave. If I go back to Vienna I will stay there again. I recommend the Leopold Museum, the Mozart Haus and Kartnerstrasse. The Viennese were generous, kind and hospitable. In particular I had wonderful customer support at the Apple Store when I had phone issues. All in all it’s a first class city!

Lovely hotel for a short break away

Lovely hotel in a great location. Staff are friendly and helpful. We booked a privilege room and it came with breakfast, robe and we had complimentary water in the fridge. Breakfast was nice even though it was not substantial. The hotel was warm, clean although the air conditioning wasn't great. Some nice bars nearby and close to the underground, St Stephens square and the canal. Felt safe on a night.

Excellent stay at the Mercure Vienna First. Location is excellent for the city centre (5 minutes walk to the cathedral), close to bars and restaurants, yet in a very peaceful square. All staff went above and beyond to make our stay thoroughly enjoyable. Breakfast buffet was good, Magda and Yourek in the restaurant providing service with a smile. If I go to Vienna again I would have no hesitation in staying here again.
