Excellent connections to the city, and local restaurants and beer houses only a walk away. Exceptionally clean and they had all the amenities that you would need. Breakfast was fantastic with a lot of choice and all the staff were very helpful and attentive.

Excellent hotel for a short city break

Stayed here for three nights and the hotel worked brilliantly for us on every level. Yes the rooms are a little small and the decoration a little tired but that's really inconsequential for a short break given the hotel has so many positives. Location is fine for central Vienna and a short 5 minute walk will easily take you into the centre and metro. The rooms are clean and well laid out and breakfast is generous with plenty of choice. All the staff we met were friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. Reception were very helpful with a couple of minor requests and the restaurant staff were always polite and helpful. If your main goal is just having somewhere to stay while you see the sights then this hotel works perfectly and is good value for money. I would definitely stay here again if I return to Vienna

Hotel location a bit out of the way, but within easy walking distance to many sights. Hotel clean and comfortable - but a little worn. Staff was very helpful. I would recommend and return to this hotel.

terrible maintenance

the maintenance of our room was just terrible. there were infiltrations on the ceiling and the AC simply didn't work. we spent there 4 terrible nights where we simply couldn't sleep. on our first day the hotel manager gave us a fan (which was very weak too) and asked us to wait until the next day when the maintenance people would be there, but despite the fact that I asked for the situation to be corrected every day it never was. on top of all of this, there were works in the building and at 8AM they were already making a lot of noise. unfortunately we had a terrible experience.

Good location but do not check in online!

I am an ALL member and I booked this hotel directly on the app. A few days before our holiday, I received an email from Accor telling me I should do online check in to save time upon arrival which sounded like a good idea, so I did. After check in, "it" suggested I should pay for my stay in advance to save even more time at check in snd check out (even though my rate was a "pay at property" rate) so I would just collect my key in seconds and make my way up to my room. As this was a weekend trip, we were short on time so I thought "why not" and I paid in full + €80 deposit for incidentals. I received a confirmation email, checked my online banking to confirm the funds had been taken and waited eagerly for our holiday. Upon arrival, I was slightly disappointed to see that the online check in I took the time to complete was worthless as we still had to provide ID's for all of us and complete check in as usual, but, Aras, the guy who checked us in was very friendly and there was no line to wait so although it was annoying that the time saving I had been promised didn't turn out to be true, it was not a big deal. After check in, I was asked for a payment of the full amount plus €80 deposit and I explained that I had already paid online and although at first he said he couldn't see a payment he checked a few things on his computer and said "ah, yes" and we were on our way. The room itself was fine, but the bathroom sink was seriously blocked. Like every time we used it, the water built up in the sink and took ages to drain making it extremely yucky! No self respecting cleaner should ever let guests check in to a room like that. It would have taken minutes for her to unclog that sink... At the end of our stay, as we were checking out, we were in a hurry to catch our ferry to Bratislava and as it was early in the morning, the reception was quite busy with check outs so I wanted to take advantage of that quick check out I was promised thanks to my online check in and dropped the keys to the key return box and attempted to leave. The front office manager was behind the counter and he picked up the keys even before they hit the box and scanned the cards and almost immediately, called me over to stop me from leaving. He said we hadn't paid for our stay so we couldn't leave. I explained that I had already paid online and the guy who checked us in couldn't see it initially but he double checked and saw that we had, so if he was to check again he would see it too. He just said no, the payment had been declined so I opened my online banking app and showed him that the funds had been authorised by my bank and were being held in authorisation for them - the full amount I needed to pay plus €80. He just said no, and that I had to pay. I told him there was clearly a problem in their system and that I refused to pay twice as I didn't want to leave the country and then have to chase up my money back from them and told him to call the finance department or whoever that would be in charge of this to clear this up but he just said "there is no one to call". This took many minutes, him insisting our payment had been declined and me insisting it hadn't, until in the end, he checked on a different computer and saw, guess what, the payment had been taken after all but didn't seem to be on one of his systems so he had to check about that. We were running late by that point so I told him we had to go, and he finally let us go, with a final warning that if our payment had really been declined, they would be charging it to my card so off we went. A few days after our stay, I received an email from the front office manager to say they were still trying to sort it out and then another one asking me to check my card as the full amount had been taken now and the deposit amount had been released. Guess what I saw? Not only they were still holding the initial total they'd charged, they had charged me for a second time for the full total this time (without the deposit!). I knew I wasn't going to get anywhere further with them so I just contacted my bank, explained I had been charged twice for the same transaction and they released the authorisation they had been holding since my "online check in". Apart from he frustration which I could do without, it was annoying and embarrasing to be treated in this way, especially in front of the other guests. And all because I thought a company like Accor could actually have an app with an online check in technology that could actually work! I have used it many times with other hotel chains such as Hilton and never had an experience like this before. So in short, the hotel has a nice location and decent size rooms but whatever you do, do not check in online and perhaps bring some Mr Muscle to unblock the sink!!
