Awful experience. Booked as a treat on our China break over the Christmas period. Room attendants have a beautiful approach to visitors,hence the one star. All remaining staff are cold and hostile. The Club Floor served food that was unappealing and dry(sandwiches and cheese). The pool is in the basement in a section of the hotel you would never wish to visit. The location is terrible. If you get the opportunity stay near "The Bund". Just avoid this place, it's terrible.

The unique location can make it convenient to travel and at the same time can be quiet, so that you can relax both physically and mentally during your stay. i appreciate to hear that our housekeeping attendant provided a warm and friendly service to you and leave a memorable experience. meanwhile, i regret that our other department staff did not reach the level of service as you expect. we will focus on staff service response and proactive service sense to the guests. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful! From the doorman and bellboy to the receptionist, everyone was warm and welcoming. Not to mention, we also received a complimentary upgrade to a suite. The hotel provides a shuttle bus for pick-up and drop-off at selected times. Unfortunately, we didn’t use it as our schedule was outside the available time window. The breakfast selection was excellent, with a great variety of options. The only area for improvement would be the coffee — it can only be ordered at the bar on level 1, not directly in the restaurant. Overall, this was an amazing experience. I would definitely stay here again if I visit Shanghai.

A very beautiful hotel with comfortable beds and spacious rooms. Let down by below average service. We just left an IBIS that outperformed this 5 star hotel by miles. If you are a foreigner looking for decent hotel near the convention centre, I would recommend the Intercontinental instead - the hotel wasn't as nice but the staff and attention to detail made up for it.

The hotel is in a good location, 10 m by car to the Shanghai Railway Station , and breakfast is ok, the room is outdate
