We had a wonderful experience in the HongQiao Sofitel Experience. The Extremely caring staff looked after us very well. They got out of their way to make us feel at home. For example during our breakfast they checked whether we needed anything else. Even the GM, Mr Yep, himself passed by to wish us Happy Chinese New Year and asked us whether there was anything that he could do to make our stay more comfortable. We have invited 2 VIP guest and the Rooms Manager took them on a tour and made them feel very comfortable. We were very impressed with the complementary drinks and snack at the lounge. The leadership pay close attention to the detail. For example, as the hotel was extremely busy during Chinese New Year, the Room Manager, Mr Eless told us in advance the time that the breakfast area might be crowded so that we can avoid that time if we wished to.

The worst stay in 2021. Not any treatment for platinum members. No beverage, no room upgrade and no breakfast. The man in reception, Mr. Stone, is not any professional for what he should do. No more stay here ever.

However, we realized that the account you are holding is yet to be Platinum. If you need more support in this regard, we will be more than delighted to assist you. We understand your feeling that the requests were not fulfilled upon arrival. Being an Accor Plus Gold member, I got upgraded to a Luxury room, good service by the housekeeping and Front Desk. The Club facilities are reasonably good. Food was not replenished on time for both Afternoon Tea and Happy Hours. Variety of food can be improved.

As always, perfect room and lounge experience highlighted our stay in this hotel. Jack Leung knows our needs well and as always offered us the best room prep we could ever ask for. This is what keeps us coming back time after time as loyal guests and recommending to our friends. Unlike some other 5-star hotels, the lounge in sofitel hongqiao is very organized and cozy. Nicole is so sweet that my daughter likes her so much. She is very considerate and kind and leaves us good memory in the lounge every time. However, Kweezeen restaurant, which used to be one of our favourite part of the hotel is struggling to meet the "Sofitel" brand level of service. Instead of being curious what service they can offer to the guests, the staff there always look soooo eager to ask for "room number" every time we show up at the restaurant for breakfast. Since this year, NO ONE had ever ask us "coffee or tea" when we sit down. The service experience there is one of the worst in 5-star hotels. I doubt what happened since this year as the dining service decreased so much. I would really suggest the management team look at how the service can be improved in kweezeen. Food is above-average which I am fine with. Anyways, I really hope Sofitel Hongqiao can remain whatever keeps loyal guests like us coming back and return to the full-package service we used to love so much.

Due to work arrangment, I have to stay in Shanghai for 6 months, and Sofitel HQ obviously my first choice of stay. Appreciate the team from the kitchen lead by Jimmy, Jerry & Chef Him for preparing my daily breakfast box every weekday without fail,. Appreciate the team from the Concierge lead by Kevin for taking care of my parcels from the online shopping sites almost every day. Appreciate the team from the executive lounge (Nicole, Amy, Tayla and Chris) ensuring my daily needs are look into, they even remind me to take dinner at times especially when they see me busy working at the lounge! Appreicate the team from the Housekeeping for keeping my room clean and tidy. And of cos, Kelly, Lori and Edna from the Bar who are always there for me with the most friendly smile whenever I returned to the hotel after a long day in the office. It makes me forgot about my work for a while! I thank the hotel higher management - Alexis, Jack, View for all the arrangement and the wonderful birthday surprise and also the special memorable gift when I checked out of the hotel on 15 Nov 2021. I hope I didnt forget to metion anyone, but pardon me if I did. From the bottom of my heart, thank you all for the wonderful experience I had during the 6 months stay.
