Ibis Styles Toulouse Capitole is ideally located in Place du Capitole, the central square in Toulouse. It is in walking distance from Capitole Metro station (2 minutes) and from Toulouse Matabiau rail station (10 minutes). Most tourist destinations in Toulouse can be easily reached by foot from the hotel. I had a good room facing the internal courtyard, with a comfortable bed and a big bathroom. Air conditioning was very quiet, but not very effective. In addition, I could not use by night, since it blew directly over the bed. There was only a small uncomfortable table in the room, where it was not easy to work / write. The bathroom was large, with just the essentials. Cleanliness was very good, free wi-fi was also very good. Breakfast was very good with some choices available, and staff were helpful.

Enjoyed the location and friendly staff. Wish the beds were a bit softer and A/C wasn't locked down to a 2 degree range, but otherwise great stay.

The hotel scored very highly on location – not just because it’s on the city’s principal square but because that made it very close to most of our favourite restaurants, the Victor Hugo market and the theatre (our three reasons for visiting). And it was worth the small supplement to have a room with a view of the square. The underground public car park (50% discount) was also very close by. The beds were exceptionally comfortable. The rooms a touch spartan and the bathrooms pretty small, but fine. It would have been nice to have tea-making equipment in the room, but there was at least a complimentary facility in reception. Our Accor membership offered us 2 welcome glasses of wine (often only one glass at many hotels in the group) and the breakfast was above average, if a bit cramped. All in all a good value “solution” without being a destination in itself.

The location, staff, and breakfast were excellent. Some items that need improvement: 1. Shower was extremely slippery and very dangerous. Either a rubber mat or treatment of the floor is required. (We used a hand towel for traction.) 2. The air conditioning system fan (even at the lowest setting) blows across the room, down the wall, and onto the head while sleeping. We had to choose between uncomfortably warm and the draft. 3. We prefer a sheet and a separate blanket rather than the duvet cover. There was no option with the air off (see above) than to sleep without covers. 4. Most hotels include facial tissues. This does not. 5. We would appreciate more than the 3 pillows.
