Excellent Hotel in Nice

This was our second stay at Ibis Style Nice Centre Gare. The room was comfortable The bed and pillow was comfortable. The breakfast was full of cheese and croissants and a very good fresh orange juice. In the lobby there was a water dispenser to fill your bottle and a popcorn machine and you can also make a tea or a coffee. We have try for the first time the Verbina Tea. The hotel is located in a quiet area close to Nice Gare and 10 minutes from Promenade des Anglais and Nicetoile shoping Centre. All in all it was a good stay and if we come back to Nice will definitely choose again now for the 3rd time Ibis Style Nice Centre Gare.

Highly recommend this hotel. So central. Tram 2 from airport brings you a 7 minute walk to hotel. Every single staff member is so welcoming, friendly and kind. The staff made the stay so pleasant.

Excellent 3 night stay

Stayed here for 3 nights at end of October as a couple. Location - old town is about a 20 min walk. The nearest tram station is Jean Medecin and is about 5/6 mins walk away. The train station is a similar distance away. Plenty of small shops and cafes nearby. Check in - very smooth and all staff throughout our stay were very helpful and friendly. Room - very clean and comfortable and had a couch and small balcony. Good size bathroom. Breakfast- good continental breakfast with plenty of options. All in all we had an excellent stay. Hotel is very good value for money and we would stay again if ever back in Nice.

Good base to explore Nice without breaking the bank

Arrived at 11am and received a pleasant welcome from the gentleman on reception. We already knew that our room wouldn’t be available until 2pm, but he checked just in case. Was able to leave our luggage securely and went off to start our holiday. The hotel is on a side street - approximately 5 mins from the closest tram stop, and about 5-10 minutes from bars and restaurants. The old town is about a 20-25 minute walk. As the hotel is a ‘styles’ water is available in reception. We bought our own bottles but they do also have some available. Popcorn is made from 4pm and tea and coffee throughout the day - although powder coffee not from a machine. Breakfast is also included, a basic continental option with meats, cheeses, cereals breads and pastries. Supposedly this is €13.50 pp so nice to have it included! Room is basic, but there is a safe available (free) and hairdryer in the bathroom. Plenty of sockets available. We were lucky to be in room 11 that overlooked the courtyard and wasn’t noisy. All in all a good base and would recommend and visit again

Unbelievably rude receptionist

The reception was a disaster. Unrespectful and arrogant staff member treated me like an “underling”. Should I mention that he saw that I was a Diamond member? Should I remark that there was no “Welcome”, no friendly smile (not even a fake one) or “How was your trip?” I spend more than €10,000 a year at Accor hotels and being asked to pay upfront without permission to view the room first is incredibly hostile. He even wished me “good luck” to find another hotel at 10:00pm. Needless to say that there was no welcome card or any fruits etc in my room - a standard gesture for a Diamond member (even for Platinum). Oh and by the way, I was booked for a whole week … and the opportunity to apologise was missed.
