I checked in fairly early, on checking in I was given my room key, the room was in a building adjacent to the main building, on seeing the room I was not happy as it was not only dirty, hairs in bed, stained floors, , but it was also right next to a noisy petrol station, first floor so I'm Literally right on top of a petrol station, I went back to reception to ask if I could change rooms, they said no, all the other rooms had been allocated, (even though the guests had not yet arrived) I've stayed at many Heathrow hotels and this is certainly my worst experience so far, for a first world country you'd expect more, I travel a lot, and most 3rd world countries have better cleanliness and customer service than this, I'll certainly be avoiding ibis if this is thier level of professionalism, seriously, you're an international chain hotel, clearly not managed well at all.

Cheap and convenient, for a few hours

Arrived around midnight, not unreasonable for an an airport hotel but there was a ominous wait while they searched (physically, room by room) for a clean room to give me. The staff kindly gave me a complimentary drink whilst I waited, and were very friendly and welcoming despite the lack of bed. They eventually found me a room in the dingy annex across the car park, which didn't bode well, nor did the creaking lift. The room, however, was surprisingly pleasant... Clean, bright and comfortable, with a generous array of complimentary coffee, tea, water etc. which for the price I thought was an unexpected perk. I didn't stay for breakfast, and perhaps the greatest asset of this hotel was the fantastic ease of leaving it. Cross the road and you're 1 stop on a local bus (£2ish) to the airport - bed to Heathrow central bus station for terminals 2&3 in under 10 minutes. Pretty perfect and a fraction of the price of the on site hotels. All in all, you get what you pay for (and perhaps a little more), and I didn't pay much. I've stayed in a number of Heathrow hotels, and this was one I wouldn't return to, but served it purpose for those on a budget, and suitable for 12pm - 6am stay once in my life.

Booked because it’s near the airport, but wasn’t impressed

I only stayed one night with my 3 kids 9, 8 and 7 before we went to the airport the morning after. The staff on the front desk who checked us in were nice, but there was one older lady, who worked in the restaurant who looked like she’d rather be anywhere but there. While I was checking in she came over and told my kids off, they weren’t really doing anything, sitting waiting for me, maybe talking a bit loud?? She told them ‘this isn’t a playground!! Sit nicely’ we’d only been there about 5 minutes! The food was ok, but a bit overpriced, and again, the same lady served us. She was quite short and rude when we were ordering food. There was no kids menu, but I did like that the kids could order and their meal was 1/2 price. I also liked that there was a tea/coffee/hot chocolate machine open 24/7 in the restaurant and I could take my drink up to our room. The room itself was fine for us, the complimentary bottled water was a nice touch. The shower wasn’t great, the pressure was rubbish and it ran hot and cold the whole time we used it, which wasn’t ideal when we all wanted a shower before our long flight the next morning. Over all it was ok for what we needed, we left at 5.30 the next morning anyway, so didn’t stay long, but I wouldn’t stay there again. There are other hotels just as convenient to Heathrow that are similar prices and have better reviews. I just booked this one last minute
