Great business travel hotel near Basel main station

My first trip to Basel was for business reason and I stayed with the colleagues at Ibis Styles. The proximity to the station and the inner city is one key advantage. Moreover, I was pleased with the high-floor room, the view over the city and the bathroom within the room. Breakfast buffet selection was fine, good machine coffee! One minor aspect was the closeness in the bedroom, even with trying multiple settings in the AC (as the room was on 4th floor, windows could not be opened).

Nice quiet hotel. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Would have preferred tea and coffee facilities in the room, as the free tea and coffee in the lobby wasn’t stocked very well and the water was very slow. Did ask for more tea bags and milk but we were told no. Hotel is only a 10 min walk to the bus and train station and five mins to the tram.

Clean place close to all transportation. Very polite staff, clean rooms with all necessary amenities. Hotel is close to railroad station, and even trains are passing meters from your room- you dont't hear them. Hotel is around 20 minutes walking distance from city center or if you prefer - there is tram stop within 3minutes walking.

I phoned two times related to a seems forgotten object in the hotel room during the stay. First time the I wait for call back two days, nothing, phone again and the service clerk checked also my e-Mail adress and phone number in the booking and said he will also speak with the room service and will call or write back. After three days again - nothing
