When in a strange city, particularly a pricey one, it was nice to seek out this budget IBIS that was on the streetcar line. Area of town was a bit rundown and the bar not particularly inviting, however we were able to find a yummy restaurant walking distance nearby.

Great staff, covenient location

We stayed for 4 nights. Room was typically IBIS small but very clean. Convenient location, just 2 tram stops and 5 minutes away from the train station. Tram stop less than 5 minutes walk from hotel. Grocery stores like MIGROS just 5 minutes away by tram. Donat and Tamara at the reception were pleasant and always willing to help, made all the difference!

Wonderful Hotel in Basel

We came to Basel to visit a distant cousin and her family. We had reserved this room very early on the strength of having stayed at Ibis in Berlin. We found this a very plain and basic hotel which fit our needs perfectly. All of the staff members were friendly and helpful. If we are ever in Basel again, we will certainly return. It was fun for me to watch the many passenger trains that entered and left the nearby railroad station.
