I ran a business conference on Monday 23rd to Thursday 26th January 2023 at the Pullman Europe Basel hotel for 60> people. From the moment you check in at reception with Vanessa, Claudia or Damian you are made to feel welcome. The Conference Centre staff under manager Sabrina, were the best I've experienced in 25 years of running meetings. Sabrina, Joya, Doreen, Silvia, Dennis and Julia were excellent - helpful, friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Normally, I find little details are missed but not with this team - everything we asked for was provided with a smile. The quality of the meeting rooms is well above average - a great place to work. The chefs, Claudio, Danial, Ulla, delivered wonderful food throughout and choices for all of our participants. The Bistro staff, Jens, Victoria and Angelina, were friendly and helpful. The bedrooms - well-equipped and spotless - the housekeeping staff were also faultless. If you're running a conference in Basel, this is the place to be. Nice comfortable room, great pillows - memory ones and not the usual soft ones you get in Switzerland. Nice bathroom. Great city hotel for a couple of nights. Good breakfast, had some great fresh orange juice. Helpful staff.

We recently did our own little three-day tour of Basel prior to a river cruise and found this hotel to be just about what we needed. Its location afforded us a tram line right at the front door to take us wherever. Affordable restaurants for all meals were nearby. Hotel staff were quite friendly and most helpful in assisting us to navigate the city. Room attendants kept things very clean and orderly. We opted for a king room with a garden view - a bit more expensive but the ambience increased our overall comfort. The only issue that was of any concern was the slight lack of adequate lumbar support in the bed's mattress. This should be addressed. All in all, an otherwise pleasant stay.

Slow internet - not hotel for business

You can’t get even 2 stars in 2022, if hotel have 4.0 mbit connection. Zoom is lagging, download a file takes ages. - too soft mattresses - gym could be improved Location is good but there are a lot more hotels in area to get good internet and sleep.

Friendly and helpful front desk, clean common area and room, comfortable bed, good shower, secure elevators (need key card). Restaurant clean, comfortable, good food. Very nice breakfast buffet, nice lunch and dinner choices. Good location- within walking distance to good restaurants, river walk, university, old town and convention center.
