My overall stay at Grand Mercure Hotel was satisfactory, but I had an unfortunate experience with the doorman service. The doorman was somewhat unfriendly and did not provide the level of hospitality I expected. Additionally, a taxi I had reserved in advance was mistakenly sent away by the doorman, causing disruptions to my schedule. This lack of attention to detail was inconvenient and did not align with the hotel’s reputation and service standards.

Good but not perfect for value

We like location . There is a tunnel from hotel exit through Yangsan metro station with hotel complex of Ibis, nov and Mercure. I took suit room. The room has a kitchen , washing machine with dryer. Coffee machine (nepresso). Ned and sofa quality were okay. Negative things 1. The visa mastercard do not work in payment since of lack security credit card terminal 2. There were no toothpaste and brush. They requested extra cost for them(300 usd per night 5star hotel)

Regarding the payment issue, the Visa and Mastercard should work, but it’s possible that the international option on the card wasn’t activated. We recommend checking with your card provider to ensure the international feature is enabled when traveling abroad. Regarding the toothpaste and toothbrush, we understand how this might have been unexpected. As part of our commitment to sustainable development (reduction of the use of plastic amenities) and government initiatives, toothbrushes are not provided in the rooms. However, we do offer toothbrushes in the lobby for a small donation of 1000 won, which will go to the Yongsan Welfare Donation in the name of Seoul Dragon City. The staff at the Grand Mercure were top notch. Our first night we wanted to get some food delivered but we didn’t have any Korean apps to use. A staffer kindly ordered food for us with his personal delivery account. Housekeeping was amazing and what surprised us the most…. water bottles are free when staying at the Grand Mercure. Not like in the states. The 2 bedroom suite was the perfect size for my family of 5. Would definitely come back and plan to come back in 2025!!!

Wonderful hotel in a good location. We enjoyed our stay there and didn't want to leave. The staff was excellent. Jeff Moon and Tony were amazingly helpful during our stay. We will definitely stay there again on our next trip.
