I’ve stayed at Grand Mercure Ambassador Hotel & Residences Seoul Yongsan several times, and it’s always my favorite place to stay when I come to Korea. Every visit feels comfortable, familiar, and welcoming. Every time we stay here, we see Jeff Moon, and he is always friendly, kind, and welcoming. Whenever we have questions, whether it’s about things to do, arranging transportation, or general recommendations, he is always happy to help. His kindness feels very genuine, which makes us feel comfortable asking for assistance. It’s really nice to see a familiar face each time we return, and having someone like him truly enhances our stay. The young lady who checked me in was also wonderful. She was warm, friendly, and made me feel genuinely welcome from the moment I arrived. I would also like to give special credit to the housekeeping team. They kept my room spectacular every single day, always spotless, fresh, and beautifully maintained. Every time we went out and came back, the room was perfectly cleaned with great attention to detail. Much kudos to them for the excellent work they do. The location is incredibly convenient and amazing. If you’re lucky, you can get a room with a view of the Hangang River, which offers truly spectacular views. My husband loves the spa downstairs, and my son enjoys this hotel very much as well. It truly feels like a home away from home for our family. Great view, amazing fitness and staff

A superb hotel near Yongsan Station, with a swimming pool, fitness center, sauna, and even Screen Golf. It's a pet-friendly hotel, so you'll see adorable dogs. The receptionists are very pleasant, and the concierges are always available. There's a 24-hour convenience store, "CU," located in the tower next door on the 2nd floor of the ibis Styles, which is very convenient for buying drinks or snacks. Ipark Mall in Yongsan Station has plenty of restaurants for all budgets (4th, 6th, and 7th floors). I loved the breakfast on 3rd floor and the cutr welcoming cats. The hotel is very quiet, and the view from the 28th floor of the Namsan Tower is magnificent. 100% recommended! 😁

Great Place to Stay

I stayed there for five nights during my visit to Seoul and thought this was a great hotel. The staff is helpful, friendly and speak good English. It is part of the Accor Dragon City complex, where there are two other hotels. I was wondering why it was called Dragon City and came to find out that Yongsan, the neighborhood where the hotel is located, means dragon in Korean. It is also a great location, being relatively close to the Yongson train station, where you take the subway and inter-city trains. The station is also like a mini-Penn Station, for those of who are familar with this NYC station in that there are many stores and restaurants in the station. It is also part of the I'Park Mall where there are stores and many Western-style restaurants, e.g., one night I ate at Outback, as I wanted a change from Korean food. The other nights I was able to go to one of the many authentic Korean restaurants in the station. The room was very nice and I was surprised to find it even had a combo washer/dryer in it, which is a great convenience to a traveler who likes to pack light and periodically wash his clothes. In additon, there was a kitchenette area , microwave, dining table, and small couch. Make sure to read the various manuals in the room for the English instructions for how to use the appliances. There is free Wifi, a card key is used, and toiletries are provided. The breakfast buffet is great with a vast array of Korean and Western foods; it also opens at 6:30 am which is great for an early riser. There is an omelette station. The only thing I found was missing from it was I could not get oatmeal. There is a full-fleged fitness center in the hotel which includes a pool.

Super nice hotel

This hotel is locates in a city center so it is really convenient to move around in Seoul. And is has a namsan city view and huge lobby. And i get always welcomed whenever i come to stay here.
