ibis Styles Kyoto Station 3 stars

I am pretty satisfied with staying at Ibis, Kyoto. Overall, staffs were very nice and friendly. They listened to me and solved the issues right away; I really appreciated it. As recommended, i became a member of ALL and got free coffee and tea as much as I wanted; they were both very delicious, thanks!

We were a family visiting Kyoto. We were given 2 rooms on the same floor, but a little distance away which was not really a concern. The hotel is very well located and easy to reach from the Kyoto station. Its amenities are ample and breakfast is generous. It does not have a restaurant in house, but it's not needed considering the proximity of the railway station.

Breakfast area - coffee machine a disaster. Move it over to where the cashier is and the unused freezer. Don't have it right beside where the kitchen entrance is. Also, get 2 machines - this one is incredibly slow in making coffee and only gives you a half cup once it's done. So many people standing there, while others are trying to get their breakfast. Elevator - only 2 elevators are very, very slow. Open up the stairs so they can be used for non-emergency use too, like every other hotel around the world. On second floor and it can take 15 minutes to get to 1st floor to go outside, when you could have used the stairs and sped up the entire process.

I love the view from ibis Hotel Very clear room Very near to train station so very convenient for us to move around in osaka. If going back to Japan will stay at Ibis hotel again.

First time at an Ibis Style hotel so I didn't quite know what to expect. I knew it is a budget chain but it is a bit too basic for me. Room ok, even though it was very small it had the basics needed to sleep. It was not perfectly clean and I found hair in the bathroom that didnt belong to me or my partner. Breakfast ok, but we didnt feel convinced that all food was safe to eat so we opted to go out for breakfast a few days instead. It is close to the station but we found it to be on the "wrong" side of all destinations we had in Kyoto. Staff was very friendly and spoke good English. I would not stay here again, but ok if you are on a tight budget
