Far Below Expectations — Not Worth the Stay

The location is the only plus point — it’s right in the heart of Sukhumvit and quite convenient. However, my overall experience was disappointing. We had requested early check-in, and although they allowed it just two hours before the regular time, the staff insisted that we write a TripAdvisor review before giving us the room. This felt extremely unprofessional. The room itself was another issue. The lighting was terrible — barely two small lights, and we practically needed a flashlight to see anything. The room walls were dirty, and the towels provided were smelly. Even after repeatedly requesting fresh towels, none were sent. One of the most concerning incidents was housekeeping entering our room at 9 AM while we were sleeping. This is completely unacceptable. I also ended up losing 1–2 pieces of clothing from the room, which made me very uncomfortable. We had booked a smoking room, and although the hotel claims to be smoking-friendly, there is absolutely no ventilation. The smoke just lingers inside the room and bathroom, making it extremely difficult to stay. Overall, despite being a budget hotel, the experience was far below expectations. There are several other properties in a similar price range that offer better service and comfort. Unfortunately, I would not recommend Novotel Bangkok.

It is located near the blue line. Easy to take a walk here. Price is quite reasonable. We arrived early and the hotel manager Fhasai helped us an early check-in. Very thankful.

I had a truly wonderful experience during my stay. The service was excellent from start to finish, and everything was handled with great professionalism. I would especially like to highlight the outstanding assistance provided by the receptionist, Fhasai. She was incredibly polite, attentive, and genuinely helpful throughout my time there. Her warm attitude and willingness to assist made the entire experience even more comfortable and enjoyable. It’s rare to come across someone who combines kindness with such a strong sense of responsibility, and she certainly made a positive impression. Overall, I am very satisfied and would gladly recommend this place.
