This is my preferred Bangkok accommodation, having stayed here on probably fifteen or more occasions over the past 15 years. It has a great location, just a short 400 m leisurely walk to the hustle and bustle of Sukhumvit Road - or alternatively, a leisurely drive on the every 1/2 hour complimentary hotel service tuk tuk. And once you get to Sukhumvit Road you can avail yourself of either the BTS Skytrain or the MRT Underground Train - both of which provide excellent services and can take you to most of the 'must see' tourist spots in Bangkok. The staff are wonderful here and you will always be greeted when coming or going with a very genuine smile and a sawadee - but what attracts me most is the great value for money. By booking assiduously in advance, you can take advantage of some great rates - often for less than AU$150 you can book an 80 square metre fully serviced apartment. The roof-top pool provides welcome relief on a hot day and also provides some good views of the ever-growing BKK skyline. Why pay twice the price and more for a five star hotel in the Sukhumvit area where the typical room size is 35 - 40 square metres? Both the 70 and 80 square metre apartments come with a fully functioning kitchen (pots and pans / cutlery / crockery, etc), dining room, lounge room, powder room, bathroom and large bedroom with a huge bed - and a washing machine. Really, you just can't go wrong!

It was quite disappointed partially because I was expecting a 5-Star Hotel based on representation on Booking website. It's probably an OK serviced apartment building for Bangkok. I don't think this is a 5-Star Hotel. There was no sign anywhere in the hotel saying it's 5-Star and certainly it didn't look anything like that either. There was no towels or slippers in the apartment, I had to ask for it. There is no restaurant, Cafe, minibar or room service (how come it's a 5-Star hotel, right?). Key cards for access to the apartment required 10-20 trials to work each time. There was a AC Unit in the balcony which is basically inside the apartment and you get all the noise. There was no consistent hot water so shower was a challenge with constant very hot/very cold shocks. Either their do not disturb sign is malfunctioning or they don't bother looking at it. They entered my apartment even though I didn't want to. There is no laundry service. They offer to send it outside for 2-3 days long duration. Not good for short trips and also you don't know what sort of facility they use. Common areas were not air conditioned (such as corridors or elevators). It was so hot and humid. It's literally next to a open canal with sewage smell (you have to cross over the canal to enter the hotel lobby). Only good parts were that apartment interior was clean and you can walk to a large shopping mall in 10-15mins.

We had a great stay with Grand Mercure Asoke. We were warmly welcomed back (we stayed there in 2022 the first time) and well looked after by their friendly and helpful staff during our stay. Room is clean, Check in and out process were fast. Washing machine in the room was extremely useful for us. A great place for families!

The hotel is located within a few minutes walk to Terminal 21 mall and Asok BTS. The asset is private and quite with huge rooms. It is well equipped, However, the rooms are already old and in due for refurbishment, the breakfast was very mediocre compared to other Accor assets because this is a service apartment. I am accor platinum member and stayed in Mercure Siam and Grand Mercure Atrium during this trip before staying at this asset. The service at this service apartment is good and we are happy with the service and responsiveness. I enjoyed the room very much, the room and the bed was very comfortable.

Hotel is a good for family and friends. Large living room, comfort bedroom and kitchen area. Swimming pool is good relax and service is also excellent. Hope to have a chance to revisit again soon with friends.
